The Unexpected Love (LGBT?!)

Chapter 4 - "Blame it on that perfume"

 "Hi, gorgeous." Francis suddenly said as he walks towards us and then, he leaned and gave the girl a peck on the cheek before he gave her the flowers, which had made me anxiously look away from them.

"Hey, thanks." the girl muttered while sweetly smiling as she accepts the flowers from him and she looks at me then, to Francis.

"Oh' yeah by the way. Kacey, this is my dearest best friend and childhood friend Katie." Francis said casually as he lightly places his warm hand on my back. I really think that could have had sounded much better if he says 'dearest girlfriend' instead right?? Okay, I'm just saying.*sighs*

" -and Katie, meet Kacey, the friend that I was telling you." Mike continued, with a broad smile on his face.

Was he talking to me or to her? Ugh! Why can't he take his eyes away from her?! I couldn't even take to lay my eyes for like, more than a second on this girl -whom he called what, Case?? Like as in a suite case? Pencil case? *slightly smirks childishly*

Then all of a sudden, I felt Francis slightly tapped me with his hand on my back, which had made me instantly look at him.

"Kacey said, she's pleased to meet you." Francis slightly whispered and then his eyes directed me to the girl he called yeah okay, Kacey, with her hand leaned towards me and hanging in the air.

"Uh,. L-Likewise." I shortly muttered and then I anxiously accepted her hand as I hardly look at her. She smiles at me then, I just promptly took my hand from hers and turned to look at Francis.

 "So are you ready to go?" Francis asked her with a charming smile on his face.

"Yeah." she replied still smiling.

"Okay great then, let's go." said Mike and then he went to open the front door and after a while, he awkwardly looks back to Kacey then to me, as if he's wondering who'll sit at the front.

"I-It's okay, I'll sit at the back." suddenly said Kacey as she looks at me.

Is this girl just trying to act nicely or what?!

"Uh' No, you take the front seat and I'll just sit at the back." I quickly mumbled.

"O-kay wait, I think I'll just better be your driver for now ladies." said Francis while smiling as he closes the front door and then he slightly moved to open the backseat, while her and I just looked at each other but I also immediately looked away.

"So?" Francis mumbled after a while, while composedly waiting for us to get in.

"Go on." she said as she smiles at me.

I did not want to argue anymore with whom should go first, so I just promptly got in and besides, I want to get over with this dinner meeting right away. It's like, I couldn't even properly breathe with this girl around us.

I moved further right away while she's getting in and closer to me. Dang, is this backseat just too narrow for the two of us? It's as if, I could even totally feel her warmth against me, and it oddly makes me anxious.. Wait, is that my favorite perfume that I smell? *slightly moves closer and sniffs*, *sniffs again to make sure* Oh well, it seems she has a taste when it comes to perfume huh. I unconsciously closed my eyes as I continue slightly sniff the inviting soothing scent of the perfume.

"Lashieva serene musky green mist-"

I quickly opened my eyes and anxiously look at her, and I saw her like, as if she's humorously smiling at me. Jeez! I could utterly feel the heat on my cheeks because of this awful embarrassment..

You're so silly Katie! Why were you sniffing this girl anyway?! If you want that perfume, why don't you just go back to that shop and ask them if they now have stocks for that?!

"Uh y-yeah, I believe that's still out of stock." I stuttered as I force a smile and then I turned to look away and slightly bit my lower lip in embarrassment.

"Yeah, like always. I guess it's because everyone likes its addictive soothing mild scent." she said as she softly chuckles.

"Yeah right, I just actually run out of stocks when I checked the other day." I mumbled as I stare at her while she's softly chuckling. Wait, am I starting to get comfortable with this girl?!

"So it seems it's your favorite as well. I still have two supplies left at home, I can give you the other one if you want, just incase they wouldn't have available stocks right away." she said as she looks at me with a smile on her face.

"Uh Thanks. But it's alright, anyway, I've made a reservation and they assured me that they'll just get it delivered within this week." I genuinely replied and then I anxiously tried to smile at her before I quickly turned and looked outside the car's window.

Then after a while, I've seen Francis's looking at us on the rear view mirror and then he smiles at me as he gives me an 'I told you you're going to like her' look. I just took a deep breath and then I heavily breathed it out, as I smelled  the scent of her perfume again. Ugh.

When we entered the restaurant, my eyes wandered around its elegant and solemn ambiance and one of its staffs guided us into a table at the corner with romantic candlelight dinner?! Duh?! What, is it supposed to be their date?! and I'm the chaperone?!

I frowned as I vigilantly stare to them while Francis's assisting her, and oh' great, *sarcastically smirks*. I just noticed that what they're wearing right now is just so much perfect for this romantic candlelight dinner.. She's wearing a chick knee cut dress and Francis's wearing a nice casual sport shirt tuck at ate sides and a dark jeans, while me.. I'm just wearing my plain school uniform. Isn't it great huh?! I fit in! Dang if I only knew... *consciously bites the lower lip*
