It's only 9, and I'm getting impatient. I am anxious to see Jackson again. Then again, I can't believe I'm going to the hill. By myself. At midnight!

The phone rings, and I run toward it. Please be Jackson, please be Jackson!!! I hope as I pick up the phone.

"Hello?" I hear my aunt's voice and I sigh.

"Hey Aunt Jade," I answer. I hope the disappointment in my voice doesn't give me away.

     "You okay?"

"Yeah. I'm just waiting. For a boy. Nothing special, you know, just one of my boyfr-   friends," I stutter nervously.

"Ooookkkay," she responds, clearly not buying it, "bye, Pace!"

        She hangs up, thankfully.

Now it's 11, and I'm still awake (somehow).

Finally, midnight comes. I'm so excited that I forget to grab a jacket, and I hurriedly run out the door. He knows my mom's at work, and my dad's on a business trip.

"Hey, Pace!" I hear his familiar voice, and get excited.

I run up to him and hug him. I think we just sit there hugging for either one minute or an hour, I can't tell. I don't really care, either.

"How's it going?" I ask him, concerned. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for asking. Enough about my boring life, tell me more about you! You're bound to be more interesting!" he pushes me.

I love when he talks like that. When he's all proper, and he sounds kind of like a nerd. I giggle, and he thankfully doesn't notice.

" J, get to the point! Please," I add softly.

" I just wanted to talk to you. I enjoy your company. You calm me. I guess that's why I love you so much," he says.

Then he leans over and kisses me, making me hope this moment lasts forever.

I think I fall asleep. When I wake up, I'm in Jackson's house, hidden from my family. Aww, he didn't want me in trouble! I check the time.

Guess I'm just gonna have to spend the whole day with Jackson . . .
