Harrison was especially busy this morning, so I decided to hang with Cisco for the time being. He was going on and on about meta-humans and these different gears he's been thinking of making to help Barry. He threw around all different kinds of science-y words. I had no idea what he was talking about at the moment, so I would nod my head occasionally and laugh whenever he made a joke.
Cisco stopped. "I'm sorry, am I going full nerd again?"
I laughed. "Don't worry about it, Cisco. I'm around this a lot, actually. I spent a whole year with Barry spouting what sounded like nonsense to me, not to mention I'm dating possibly one of the smartest men alive. Oh, and don't even get me started on Felicity. She's on a whole different level of nerd."
Just then we caught wind of a police call. Cisco immediately dialed Barry. He put him on speaker.
"Hello?" Barry answered.
"Code 237 on Waid Boulevard," Cisco said.
"Public indecency?" Barry asked on the other line.
"Wait, I think I meant 239."
"Dog leash violation?" Barry sounded confused now.
I took the phone from Cisco. "Bad man with a gun in a getaway car."
Barry hung up and Cisco looked at me, crossed his arms and said, "you stole my thunder."
"You would have just continued saying silly things if I hadn't," I remarked.
"Hey, not true!" he whined.
I raised an eyebrow at him with my arms crossed.
He uncrossed his arms and raised them in defeat. "Okay, fine."

I decided I wanted to help out and do something useful. Everyone seemed to have their hands full, so I sort of put myself in charge of searching for meta-human activity. I found that there was a recent homicide. I called Barry and told the others.
Barry and Joe came in to give us information that they gathered from the police department.
"Do you know the Darbinyan crime family?" Joe asked.
Caitlin nodded. "What did you find out?"
"Signs of histoxic hypoxia. The cells in their bodies were unable to utilize oxygen," Barry said. "It's consistent with exposure to poison gas."
"What kind of poison?" Caitlin asked.
"I'll need to take a ling sample, see if I can narrow it down," answered Barry.
"There's one more thing," Joe added. "The only other exit was bolted from the inside. They were trapped. I was thinking someone pumped gas in from the inside, but witnesses say the street was empty."
"So it was from the inside," Cisco said. "That means there should be a canister or a container left behind. The gas just didn't come in by itself."
"Unless it had a mind of it's own," Caitlin said.
Joe took out his phone. "I'm gonna call Eddie and see if he can canvas again. Somebody had to have seen something suspicious."
"Okay, explain," I said to Barry.
"The boss collapsed by the table. This guy," he pointed at one of the victim's pictures on the computer, "made it ten feet away. That guy," he pointed at another picture, "had a chance to move off and fire three shots into the window, trying to break the glass. But they all started in the same spot, which means they should have all been affected by the gas at the same time, but instead, it's as if..." he trailed off.
