He suddenly got a look on his face of a bit of mischievousness."I know what we're gonna do."
[Delirious's POV]
"Seriously, Delirious?" Katie just glared at me. "What? I like my idea. What's wrong with having you see if people will help a short person reach the top shelf at a grocery store?" I couldn't hold in my laugh at Katie's face. "Ugh! I knew you were going to come up with something that annoys me or makes fun of me! ...Sadly I think that's the best idea we got... I hate it when you're right" Katie mumbled the last part to herself thinking that I might not hear it. "So in the end, what was I?" "You were right..." "What's that? I couldn't quite hear you?" "YOU WERE RIGHT! OKAY? JEEZ!" The entire science class turned towards us and Katie tuned to the color of a tomato. I just laughed at her while she glared at me. I don't know how I came up with this project but it was amazing.
~Time Skip~
"Okay class! Time's up! One at a time I'll call each of your groups up and I expect an amazing idea for a science project." Mr. Zech slowly called each group up. Most people were doing normal projects like potato clocks and baking soda volcanoes, etc. Then, we were up next. I walked up to Mr. Zech first and before Katie could get a word in I began telling him of our project. "So, basically Katie is going to be walking around the grocery store looking helpless as ever and trying to get people to help her. We will compare how many women try to help as to men and also how many people help versus those who walk by and ignore her." Katie looked over at me as if I had spoken another language. I simply raised an eyebrow at her and she shook her head. "Well that sounds amazing! Something less used and may have some interesting results! Plus with spring break coming up you will have plenty of time to get lots of research done! I'm good with it so you may begin today." Mr. Zech was obviously pleased and we went to sit back in our seats. "How the hell can you sound so smart?" "Well, my dad is a chemist and my mom is an English major so between the two I've picked up the lingo. Also, I'm an only child (A/N Actually he's not IRL but it's a story) so I've only really been around adults most of my life so I have a very mature vocabulary." "Whatever. Let's just plan things out until the bell please? I want to have to see you the least amount possible over break." I rolled my eyes at her. "Okay, so how many times should we go to the store? When do you want to work on the research and the project board? And who's house are we going to and are they keeping the project there?" "I can't keep stuff at my house without my little brother sticking race car stickers all over it so I guess we'll go to your house and work on it." "So, when should we start? Break is next week and it's already Wednesday." "I guess I'll come over tonight then and we can start on research." Just as she said this the bell rang. "Okay, here's my address and phone number then. Don't use that unless you have to. I hate phone calls so only text and once again those are only if you're cancelling or something." "Fine, whatever I got it." And we went our separate ways.
I walked down the hall and found Vanoss by the lockers. "Dude, I have to do a freaking project with Katie over break." "Sorry dude, but maybe you guys will actually become friends over this? That would be great." "What? No! I hate her! Why would I be friends with her?" "I don't know man maybe you were to quick to judge. Just try for me. Please? I know the group wants y'all to be friends and stop the fighting." "Fine. But I don't think we'll become friends.."
So the next chapter will be in Katie's POV because I think I'm gonna switch every chapter.
