RWBY Opening tell the entire plot to the show.

Ok everyone this is easy to prove here.

First we will look at This will be the day the lyrics are as follows. Please look at the ones I bold specifically.

  they see you as small and helpless

suddenly about to flower

Ok to start with the first set of bolded lyrics. I don't want to hear your absolution.  hope you are ready for a  revolution. 

Ok to understand this we need to look at what Absolution means. Absolution means 2 things. 

1.   formal release from guilt, obligation, or punishment.

2.an ecclesiastical declaration of forgiveness of sins. 

Ok here we will go with the 2nd one. The thing is describing the attack on Beacon. It is telling us about Ozpin being remorseful for some role he played with Salem (maybe). So she starts the revolution against Hunters and Huntresses.

Ok now to the second set. This world is unforgiving(self explanatory) and  Even Brilliant lights will cease to burn. This refers to the fall of Beacon and of sometime in the future maybe the entirety of Vale maybe even Remnant.

Now to the final set of bolded lyrics. Legends scatter- tells of the fall of Ozpin's forces and the scattering of Beacon's students. 

Day and Night will sever- now this one is a little hard to explain. Here is how. Lets look at this from a poetic point of view. Day is light and Night is darkness. What this means is the line will be so blurred that the concept of good and evil is severed it is no longer clear.

Now to the 2nd opening most of it is self explanatory but there is one or two lyrics I need to explain. Again see bolded.

there's a line that we'll cross

there's a time and a place
no bridges left to burn
anymore

we can't just wait with lives at stake
until they think we're ready
our enemies are gathering

and the innocence of youth
how the time seemed to fly
from our carefree lives
and the solitude and peace we always knew

there's a day when we'll fight
and we're not gonna fall
there's a day when we'll stand
and a day when we won't crawl
anymore

there's a moment in time
and there's no going back
when we're pushed too hard
and we won't hold our attack
anymore

we can't just cling to childish things
as evil just grows closer
humanity's in jeopardy
this fight is far from over

now it's time to say goodbye
to the things we loved
and the innocence of youth
with a doubt in our minds
why we chose this life
and at times we can't help wondering...

were we born to fight and die?
sacrificed for one huge lie?
are we heroes keeping peace?
or are we weapons?
pointed at the enemy
so someone else can claim a victory?

now it's time to say goodbye
to the things we loved
and the innocence of youth
how the time seemed to fly
from our carefree lives
and the solitude and peace we always knew.

Ok the set of bolded lyrics here are extremely important. 

Were we born to fight and die refers to Roman's saying about the fate of all hunters and huntresses in the end. 

Sacrificed for one huge lie could tell the story of maybe Ozpin being the villain in the series. You never know.

Are we heroes keeping peace or are we weapon pointed at the enemy so someone else can claim victory. Now this entire line could be said to be the students at Beacon but that is too easy.

No this refers to Cinder's faction and the fact that Salem was prepared to claim victory.

So Now to Volume 3 opening. Notice how this one is shorter and darker. This will be explained.

Maybe red's like roses?
Maybe it's the pool of blood
The innocents will lay in
When in the end you've failed to save them?

Their dying eyes
Are wide and white like snow
And now they know
The cost of trusting you's obliteration

Mirrors will shatter
Crushed by the weight of the world
The pillars collapse in shame

There'll be no rest
There'll be no love
There'll be no hero in the end
Who will rise above

And when it ends
The good will crawl
The shining light will sink in darkness
Victory for hate incarnate
Misery and pain for all
When it falls

Note how only 2 sets are bolded. 

Let's go to the first one shall we.

This entire set of lyrics refer to the fall potentially of all kingdoms and humanity. (Also sidenote I love the Red trailer reference.)

This set of lyrics refer to the fall of Pyrrha Nikos. Cinder making the light sink in Darkness as she took the fall maiden's power. Victory for evil incarnate refers to Salem. the rest is self explanatory.
