When I awoke, Jacob was no longer there, but I could hear his voice from the other cart.
"Evie! We should just kill him already! We have the opportunity!" Jacob barked at Evie. "What's going on?" I asked as I rubbed the sleepiness from my eyes.
"They're fighting, as usual." Sam replied as he was reading the newspaper, legs crossed.
"Anastasia. We would like it if you could meet Crawford Starrick." Henry said gently, as his smile was ever so polite. "Again?" I said as I wanted to continue my task with Evie, to find the patient.
"Unfortunately, yes again." Jacob rolled his eyes, crossing his arms and glared at Evie. Evie ignored his childish behavior and approached me.
"Here, wear this. I picked it out today, is it fitting?" Evie placed a dress in my hands. It was blood red, and had a deep v neck at the front with long sleeves that were fitting to my arms. It was simple, I liked simple.
"Looks alright. I'll get changed." I went to my cart, but only to be followed by Jacob. "Jacob I need to change." I said shooing away. "Anastasia, you can't go to Crawford." He held my arms with his hands, pressing gently.
"Jacob, what's wrong? I've been seeing him and you haven't said anything till now."
"You can't Anastasia, what if he tries to do something?" Worry filled Jacob's eyes. "Oh relax Jacob he doesn't know I'm an assassin." I moved away from his grip and removed my blouse.
"You're not getting what I'm saying!" Jacob was filled with frustration as he turned me around to catch my attention.
I kissed his lips softly, and pulled away quickly, making him want more. "Nothing bad is going to happen, its my task Jacob."
--
At Crawford's manner, the blighters welcomed me in. They asked me to stay seated and to wait for Crawford. As I was seated, I started playing with my fingers nervously, thinking about what Jacob has said.
"I didn't think you'll ever be returning." Crawford said from behind me, giving me a shock. I turned around and stood up, as he took my hand and kissed it.
"Oh darling, why wouldn't I return?" I said in my flirtatious tone. "You haven't come to visit for a long period of time." His hand was still holding mins, as his stare burned through me.
"I had business to attend to, besides you aren't the only one with business." I winked at Crawford, receiving a very small smile from the man. However, something caught my attention behind Crawford. It was Jacob watching us from the window, he did not know that I was aware of his presence.
Crawford tucked my hair behind my ear, shifting my attention to him. "I came to say hello, I can't stay for too long. My carriage awaits." I said politely. "Stay. I've missed you." Crawford came closer to my body.
"Oh darling I wish I could. I'll be visiting you soon, maybe the day after tomorrow." I kissed his cheek quickly, receiving another smile. "Goodbye Crawford." I said and turned my back to him, ready to walk away.
Before I could, Crawford grabbed my wrist and pulled me back to him. He held my cheeks with both of his hands, kissing me harshly. Once I pushed him off gently, he took a deep breath in.
"Goodbye, Anastasia." He whispered.
--
I walked away in disgust, hoping that Crawford's kiss was only just a dream. Until I passed by a dark alleyway.
"So, how did everything go with darling Crawford." Jacob mocked, as he was leaning on the alleyway's wall.
"Jacob! You frighted me! Stop doing that." I placed my hand on my heart hoping to calm it down. As I got closer to Jacob in the alleyway, an angry expression was on his face, yet he tried to cover it with his fake smile.
"Jacob...I know what you saw alright? I promise I didn't know." As I spoke, Jacob placed his hands on my waist and pulled me closer. The usual smirk on his face was not present, instead, it was replaced with an angry expression.
His breathe tickled the crook of my neck as he leaned closer. "Anastasia, I don't think you understand. You are my woman." I looked at Jacob from the corner of my eyes. "Then show me, Jacob." I whispered softly in his ear.
"Henry?!" Jacob shouted, pulling my arm across carts. "Evie?! Sammy!?"
"There's obviously no one here, Jacob." Jacob was quiet, he pulled me into my cart and closed the cart door. "Jacob?" I touched his hand as he turned around and the smirk was back on his handsome face, once more.
Jacob carried me and placed me on the bed gently. Before I saw it coming, Jacob kissed me on the lips passionately, I wrapped my arms around his neck, as his hands traveled around my body.
As things started to heat up, I removed Jacob's shirt and unbuckled his belt, he removed my blouse and pants.
"Are you sure about this?" Jacob asked, looking at my body hungrily.
"Yes, with you of course Jacob."
