Life in a poem

53 9 2

To survive, to strive,
To find out what you feel inside.
To love, to pray,
To eat every day.
To feed, to breed,
To find out who you need.
To dote, to vote,
To figure out what she wrote.
To call, to fall,
To find out they were never there at all.
To try, to fly,
To lay down and die.

The cycle of life has steps, and these are key,
But - inbetween them - you are free,
So you decide how you survive.

And you decide how you die.
