March 2015

Dear mom,

I was surprised when you let me go to International Night with Ana at her school. It was a school night and I was pretty bogged down with homework. But you let me go. So I met Ana at her house and off we went to the school.

It was pretty cool.  Food and entertainment. Plus seeing people I hadn't seen since middle school.

Then I saw her. Long brown hair with red tips. Deep brown eyes covered partially with long, side swept bangs. Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.

And luckily, Ana introduced us and her friends. I remember all of us getting along instantly, how easy it was to bond with everyone.

I remember me and the girl bonding mutually over Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance (I had just become fans of both, so this was huge for me). I remember me and Ana hugging her close to keep her warm, how close she was to me, and how much closer I wanted to be with her.

And then I remember hugging her goodbye, getting her number, and praying that I would see her soon.

Love,

Your daughter
