Awkward Heroes

Chapter 4

Garfiel's POV

I tossed my knife to Roy. I was NOT going to kill that monkey. "Do it yourself! I will go help Rae get the water!"

"Really Gar? What are you gonna eat? We might be here for a while!" Roy yelled.

I rolled my eyes. "I'll go find a coconut. I wish I had my powers."

"Well I don't. You have to learn how to survive without them!"

I ran into the forest. "Whatever!"

Raven was sitting on a rock next to a stream of water, about a food wide. I sat next to her which made her jump.

"Oh Garfield! You scared me son of a-" I cut her off.

"Calm down Rae" I smiled. "Good you found water. Let's get some of those big leaves."

We got up and went to the big, tall tree. The leaves were bigger than my head! This would be big enough.

I ripped one off and ran to the stream. Raven and I scooped up the water. After, we sat on the rock.

"Where is Roy and the others?" she asked me.

"At camp probably."

"We should go back Gar" she got back up but I pulled her back down.

"No they're fine. Jason and Damian are getting fire. Roy's cooking."

"Oh what will you eat?" she asked with worry.

I gave her a half grin. "I'm fine."

She put her head down and took her hood off her head. "Gar? One more thing."

"Okay what? I'll do anything Rae Rae!" I smiled even more.

"First. Don't call me that. Second." There was a long pause. "Kiss me."

My eyes widened. "What?" I gulped. A dream. Totally. "Um Rache-" I was cut off by her lips touching mine.

I pulled in closer. It was everything I ever dreamed of. Not long after she pulled away and put her hood back on.

"We have to go back." and she disappeared into the forest.

I just sat there in shock, happiness, and confussion. Wow.
