Awkward Heroes

Chapter 7

3rd POV

"Everyone okay?" Jason asked.

"Ahhhhhhgggggg!"

Jason turned around to see his brother slip and fall. "Damian!" he reached his hand out but it was too late.

Damian fell out of the cave's mouth and slid down a trail of mud. "Ja-Son!" he trembled.

He hit a rock and flew upwards. "Ahh! My butt!"

Finally the mud trail stopped, so he stopped sliding. Damian got up and looked around. The rain stopped soon.

Damian looked around to find the others, but there was nothing but trees. "Great" he mumbled.

"We'll find him Jason!" Garfield said calming Jason down.

"Besides. He's probably alright." Roy gave Jason a pat on the back.

"Well the rain stopped. Let's go." Rachel climbed down from the cave. The other boys followed.

"I miss him" Jason chuckled. "Even though he could kill me in two seconds."

Garfield gave a half grin. "Yah. Those knives scare me. But Damian is a good kid."

"Yah....." Raven said.

Roy agreed. "Wait! Look!"

They saw Damian stabbing a tree. Then he finally noticed the others. "Hey!" he shouted.

Jason ran as fast as he could to the boy at least 100 yards away from him. "Damian!" And he wrapped his arms around Damian.

"Jason! What is this? How dare you?" Damian struggled to get out.

Jason lightly chuckled. "It's a hug, Damian. It's called a hug."

Damian stopped struggling. "Well. This can work good against my enemies. Can you please teach me how to use it properly?"

Now Jason laughed more. "It's not a weapon Damian! It's what you do if- if you love someone."

Damian's eyes got big. "You love me? What?!" he rested his head on Jason's shoulder. "Well. I love you too."

The others caught up. "Hey guys. We need to find a way off this island. And I already did. But I need all of you peeps to help. I hope you aren't scared of sharks."
