Chapter 9

Raven's POV

I thought nobody was awake. It was very late and pitch black. I stayed in a curled up ball because, well, this raft isn't the biggest.

All I hear is the calming waves in the distince, and then him.

"Hey Rae? Are you awake?" I turned around to see Garfield Logan.

"I am" I whispered back.

He carefully sat up, trying not to disturb the others' peace. "Rachael. I have a question. So, what are we?"

I sat up next to him. "What do you mean?"

"What is our relationship? Are we friends, or," he stared into my eyes "are we more?"

I felt tears coming on. I love him. But I can't. Half demon isn't the best. "Garfield. We are. *sigh* more."

He leaned on my shoulder. "I love you Rachael."

A tear slid down my cheek. "I love you too Garfield." I couldn't fight it anymore. I love him. I love him. I love him!

Next morning crept up on me. I found myself in Gar's arms still. It was so peaceful, I didn't want to move.

"Well look at you!" Damian had his hands on his hips. "So sweet...... NOW GET UP!"

Damian's yelling woke Gar up. "What? What's going on?"

We got up quickly. "Damian we didn't-" I was cut off by him.

"Yah, yah, yah. Come on. Okay, Roth come help me clean the water. Logan, Roy and Jason are tied to the raft out in the sea getting food. Help then."

We went to our places. "Damian, why do you call me by my last name?" I asked.

He looked at me like I was stupid. "Because I can."

"Damian!"

"Fine. Fine. I'll tell you. It's because, I like to."

"Ahhhhh! Dudes!" Garfield screamed.

We turned around and saw the boys in the water, about 20 feet away from the raft. And sharks.
