Chapter 2 Evil Lurks

I went to the mountains with the Queen, she said it would take about half a day to get back to the palace. We walk what seem like forever, but the Queen reassured me that we were almost there. We finally got to the palace and it was magnificent. It was a bright blue, and had silver lining. The stairs were gold and all I could do was stare. We went into the huge doors at the top of the stairs, the Queen told her guards to show me to my room. I went down the long hallways with the guards and went to the last room on the right was my room. It was enormous and beautiful all I could do was thunk of my room in the tree where I painted it. I wanted to ask the Queen if I could paint the walls but I didn't want to disturb. I didn't realize it was getting dark, I close the curtains and went to bed. The bed wasn't comfortable I wrestled all night, and by morning I was so tired. I went to breakfast and ask the Queen if I could paint my room. "Sure you can my sweet girl, and please stop calling me the Queen call me Demetre."
I went out the castle with a couple guards to get some berries and flowers. And the mountains seem to go on forever. The guards said to hurry up so went looking around and found some. They were yellow then purple tips, and I found pink berries. We went inside and found Demetre, "Wow my dear those are beautiful, those are one of my favorite flowers." I went into my room and painted the wall over my bed. I never went through the whole castle so I went through each room but each room had different colors. I went to Demetre to ask why was the rooms different colors, "My dear come with me I will show you why in my room." We went down the other hallway and there was the biggest door I ever seen, it had ruby outline and had a diamond door knob. The guards open the door and the room was huge but in the middle was a circle like a compass.
"Come in my dear this is the Balancer," "What is the Balancer?" "Well my dear it balances the four world's in this world, see the four world's are water, fire, air, and earth. See we are in the middle you were in the earth world, and the most powerful creatures live there. In the water the most sweetest creatures live there, in the fire is where the most evil creatures in the whole universe live there, you must stay away from there if you want to live. And air is where the most graceful creatures live, and am sorry my dear that I've haven't told you and this is really overwhelming, I hope you can forgive me." I was speechless and I couldn't get a word out, and I just stared and blinked. I went over and finally got a couple words out, "How does it work?" "Well my dear you see those green lights and red lights," "Yes." "Well they show where the most balance is, the green is where the most balance is and the red is where the least is, if the red gets over twenty then my guards have to go and figure out what is wrong or unbalanced. Do you understand?" "I think I do its still kind of confusing but I'll figure it. Can I go to all the world's but fire to see what it is?" "Of course my dear you can, just tell me when and I will get my best guards and quickest to go." "Thank you so much, I will go back to my room now."
I started towards my room, and I couldn't believe what I just heard there's other worlds? What would be there, should I go, if I go what so I bring? Bam! I hit the wall near my room, luckily no one saw me. I got up and walk into my room, I had to think of some thing else, or this is going to get to me. I looked out my door and saw a guard. "Excuse me sir what's for dinner tonight," "I think it is fish, pork, and for dessert ten layer cake." "Thank you," Wow that's a lot of cake can't wait good thing I'm starving, I went over to my bed. I looked around and just thought which one I should go to. A bell interrupted mine thoughts and I realized it was the dinner bell. I slowing walked down the hall and thought hardly about the world's.
The smell was so strong I was 20 feet away and I could smell it. I started to pick up the pase and reached the dinning room. Demetre was at the other end of the table and her servents were bring the rest of the food in. I saw ham, corn, fish, ribs, and one large cake in the middle with little pies in the middle. I sat down and there was 5 forks, 11 spoons, 7 knifes, I had no clue what they were used for but I didn't care. The servents bring us many things but I went for the meats, and the vegetables. I started to dig in and it was the best thing I tasted, I went after the cake and it melted in my mouth. Then a servent asked if I wanted something to drink, of course I said yes. I got a soda that I've never tasted, this dinner makes me feel like a kid again. I just couldn't stop eating till I felt like I was going to throw up. I asked to be excused and I went to my room and tried to go to sleep. There was a bridge and Jane was on it and Dan, but I was not there like I was the one to fly in the tornado. Jane was crying and was walking around, all of a sudden she look over and there I was just laying there died.
"Uhhh," I started to gasp for air I heard the bird chirps, it was the break of dawn, I must of fell asleep without knowing it. I had to go to a world, I know the right the one, air. I ran to Demetre, I was gasping for air when I asked her. "Of course you can my dear I'll send my guards and my fastest riders, do you know how to ride a bird?" "Uh no but is it like riding any other animal?" "Why yes just hop on and hold on tight now go my dear you should be there in a day or two."
I went outside and there waited a couple of guards and giant blue jays. Their wings were massive so we're their beaks, the were as big as a horse or a bear. The guard helped me up and I was off. It was easy by time I got the hang of it, I felt like a bird and I could touch the sky. I started to wiggle and the bird got angry and tried to get me off, lucky enough I had great grip since the accident.
