The Stronghold

Preston's POV

After riding for days, avoiding zombies, we finally arrived at the stronghold. "This is it" I said.

We walk down a long pathway down and arrive in front of an iron door.

"It's locked" Mitch said.

"Over there" Kenny said pointing to a button "That button has to open it"

"The only way to get to it is by parkouring" Lachlan said

Suddenly I had a weird vibe go throughout my body. I stood on top of a block and jumped to the next. My adrenaline began flowing, and I was jumping at fast speeds. I was quickly at the top and I pressed the button.

"That was AMAZING!" Choco said

"Thanks" I said walking through the door.

Beyond the door were 10 zombies, 10 skeletons, 10 spiders, and 1 creeper... Only one creeper..Why not 10, to make it even?

We all pulled out weapons, Mitch with his bow, Jerome with his diamond axe, Vikk with his diamond sword, Lachlan with his iron sword, Choco and Kenny with their Tnt, and me and Woofless with our iron swords.

The mobs dropped like flies. We lost a few hearts, but we will live. Behind the mobs was another door.

We went through the door and we saw a young man.

"Hello...My name is Ian... or Ssundee... And I'm sorry, but I cannot let you pass."

Ssundee pulled out a sword and charged at us. Jerome jumped up and hit Ssundee with Betty at his face. Mitch began shooting his bow (Katniss) at Ssundee's feet. Vikk and Lachlan hit from the side. Choco and Kenny threw Tnt at him. Me and Woofless hit him from behind. He was tough, but not tough enough. We took him down and continued on.

We eventually encountered an old man

"Hello adventurers, my name is Sky, or Adam." the old man said.

I looked beyond the man and saw a deactivated portal.

"How do we activate the portal?" I asked Sky

"You need to have a sacrifice" Sky said.

"A sacrifice?" Lachlan asked

"Yes, you need to have a human sacrifice, because we need an eye of a dead body to complete the portal" Sky said

"I volunteer" Mitch said

We all looked at Mitch with a surprised look.

"We can't let you do that" I yelled

"I've lived my life. I've had great friends. That's all I need. I want you guys to continue on" Mitch said

"No" Jerome said

"I've decided. I will sacrifice my-" Mitch was interrupted by Jerome. Who just stabbed himself with Betty.

"JEROME!" Mitch screamed with tears dripping down his eyes.

"I couldn't let you sacrifice yourself biggum...You've already saved my life once...Now it's my turn to save yours." Jerome said. "Go on with out me."

"WHY JEROME!" Mitch said wiping a tear from eye.

We all watched in silence as Jerome's heart stopped beating. We all had a tear in our eyes. Sky went over to Jerome and we all shut our eyes as Sky ripped Jerome's eyes out with sheers.

I opened my eyes and saw Jerome's dead body lying on the ground, with one of his eyes missing... Sky walked over to the portal and put Jerome's eye into the last slot. There was a loud boom as the portal activated.

"Let's go" Choco said wiping his tear with his feathers.

"Okay" Mitch said with a gloomy look in his eyes.

We all looked at each other. We held hands, shut our eyes, and jumped in.
