I'm not that popular but I'm musically talented. Dancing has never been my forte.

I place my books in my locker and went to my next class. I had the same hairstyle as usual, french braid from top to bottom. I push my glasses up as it slip down to my nose. I walked nearer to my class and hear girls squealing. It must be that boy.

Kai.

I entered the class and sat at my place at the back of the class near the window. The teacher soon came and slam her notes on her table. The kids went silent.

"Now, now kids! For your monthly assessment this time round it has to do with dancing. You will be partnered and both of you will have to brainstorm about this..."

"Yes!"

"I hope I'll be partnered with Kai!"

"If we became partners, we'll definitely outshine others."

"Kai be my partner!"

"Enough! For partners, you will take a crumpled paper in this bag and there you go, partners are established! It can a male-male or female-female or a both gender group. So come up now"

I was the last one to take the crumpled paper. I prayed that it will be at least someone who is patient and reliable. Hopefully Yixing please.

I closed my eyes and open the paper. No way. Kai. No. No. The angels must have decided not to help me this time round.

"So we'll start from Kai, Kai who's did you get?"

"Ji Yeon"

"Aww, no fair!"

"Why must it be her"

"She can't dance"

"So Ji Yeon whose did you get?" the teacher asked.

"Kai..." everyone in the class looked at me in disbelief.

"NO! NO! You're getting everything wrong!" Kai exclaimed. It was hell pairing with him.

"I'm sorry that I'm not born with 2 synchronized feet and a flexible body!" I retaliate.

For the past 2 weeks now I stayed back every single day including the weekends just to learn. I'm catching up quite okay but slowly.

"So now you have to spin." Kai demonstrated the spin I have to follow.

"You know I can't do that Kai" I whined.

"Just do it already!" he half shouted.

I tried doing the spin and this is not going the way I wanted. Obviously. I tripped on my foot and landed on the floor with a twisted ankle.

"Ugh!" I massaged your ankle.

Kai tried to touch me to do whatever to help my ankle.

"No! Don't touch me! Leave me alone!" The door opened in a flash.

"Ji Yeon, I heard you screaming, are you alright?" my singing buddy, Chen asked.

He was the only one in the school that's so kind to me. He was good looking and quite popular but I avoided him sometimes because of the unwanted attention.

"I'll bring you to the nurse office" Kai said.

"No, let me" Chen offered.

Chen carried me in a bridal manner and went to the nurse office.

"Thanks Chen"

"Sure!"

I hobbled back to the dance practice room since I didn't want to burden Chen anymore and to see no sign of Kai and his bag. My phone then beeped, I received a text from an unknown number.

'Self practice -Kai' and he also attached a video of the dance steps.

Even in my sitting position, my hands always seems to move. Dancing. The assessment is also going to be held tomorrow and for the past 2 weeks since my ankle incident, Kai didn't came to school. That rude boy.

I am now at the backstage waiting nervously for Kai. My hair was let loose and it was curled at the ends. My spectacles were replaced with contact lens and I put on some light makeup. I felt confident. It was a ballerina-jazz kind of dance. So I wore a short long sleeved dress with the safety pants underneath. It was just a plain one and it bares my back.

It was almost my turn but Kai is still nowhere to be seen. I prayed silently. Kai has to show up.

"Hey Ji Yeon"

"KAI!" I screamed in delight and hugged him.

"You came! I thought you were never ever going to come!"

"I had to run some errands before I came and you... You... You look stunning..." I blushed. That was the first time he ever complimented me.

His warm hands touched my bare back as we both danced. I felt the electricity pass through. The performance ended with Kai's muscular arms wrapped around me. That was not what we practiced. It was unexpected. Howling, whistles and cheers you both got. Standing ovations too. Guess hard work really paid off.

The day after the performance, I've gotten quite popular. I abandoned my spectacles at home and I tied a ponytail to school. Guys noticed me too. I have to slowly get used to this.

Guys gathered around me during lunch and asked for their chocolates since its white day.

I stood up and quickly walk away. Annoying, I thought. I felt an arm was wrapped around my shoulder. "Starting from now onward, she's mine." And he kissed me passionately, though on the cheek. He broke off and the both of us walked to my locker.

"You. Are. Officially. Mines. Now. No. Buts" he said word by word and he sealed you with a kiss on the lips.
