11. Enlightenment

Yes, the mountains were too steep
The valleys too deep,
Darkness somehow managed to run behind me,
Sometimes I gave it a ride on my back
And I kicked away every bundle of joy,
Adamantly believing I didn't  deserve any.
One day,
It changed:
There was no speech,
No enlightenment and no knight in shining armour.
Just a simple moment,
A single observation that made me walk forward
For I realized that if air can turn into a storm
And destruct life,
It can also become a breeze
And make the sails travel ahead.
It was up to it,
Just like walking the right path was up to me,
I could create streams of blood down my Palm,
Or those of hope
That bring smiles.
