"I forgive you. Not for you, but for me. Because like chains shackling me to the past I will no longer pollute my heart with bitterness, fear, distrust, or anger. I forgive you because hate is just another way of holding on."

~ Beau Taplin // forgiveness

"Mom? Dad?" I asked in astonishment.

The two figures that I hadn't seen in so long, who's voices I hadn't heard in so long- hadn't touched in so long were currently standing I front of me.

" Hi, princess" My dad says to me, a smile gracing his lip.

I choke on a sob.

"How? " I ask, mostly because it's the one word I can come up with in this state of shock.

"We never left you, we where always with you."
My mom, replies as she smiles down at me.

"Why are you here? Why did you come now? Why didn't you come all those years ago?" I ask confused and very shocked.

"We came to help" my dad replies.

"To help? What for? " I query.

" Angel, we know you are the beast. " my dad responds.

"How? " I question again.

"My father, your grandfather was also a beast as they call it now" my mother speaks, shaking her heard at the name.

"Yes, your grandfather was also the beast because similar to you, he also had a bad past, He held grudges." My father adds.

"What? I do not hold grudges" I defend myself, crossing my hands over my chest.

"Yes, you do honey. That's why you have a beast inside you. It is from all the negativity you keep inside you, of all the anger and hate you keep bottled up." My mother smiles at me softly.

"We're here to help you." My dad adds.

"How are you going to help me?" I asked, confused.

They smile at me but don't say anything.

I purse my lips and raise an eyebrow, waiting for them to continue.

"Come with us, Angel" My father said, holding out his arm. "Let us show you" he adds.

I hesitate before finally accepting his hand.

Dad pulls me to my feet and links our arms. "Are you ready?" He asks softly.

I nod silently.

"Okay, follow us" My mom says, walking towards the front door.

"Where are we going?"

"Somewhere" Dad says.

Thanks dad, that helps.

Suddenly, my parents come to an abrupt stop and my gaze focuses on a door.

I look at the door confused. It looked just like every other door in this building, it was just a normal, plain door.
