Chapter 13 - Kaitou and Melody

Kaitou was still thinking about that dream that he had. He wondered what Waverly was talking about. Then Kaitou lifted his head and looked at the forest and saw a someone watching him behind the trees. Kaitou stood up and started to walk towards the tree. "Hello?" Kaitou said as he walked closer "Melody?" He said. A small black wolf came out from behind the tree and ran away. "Who was that?" Kaitou thought "Kaitou." Melody said "Oh hey." "I see your leg is feeling better." She said "Yeah it hurts a little but not as much as it used to." He replied "So want to go the the waterfall?" "Last time we left the pack we got caught and thrown off a cliff." He said "We are not going to any other packs." Melody said "Alright but i don't want Waverly or Moon to know." He said "They wont just...come on." Kaitou followed Melody out of the pack and into a small field with no trees but a mountain with a cave and a waterfall beside it. "Whoa this place is beautiful." Kaitou said "Yeah." She said "Follow me!" Melody ran to the mountain and into the cave. "Wait for me!" Kaitou said as he followed her in their. "This place is huge." Kaitou said "Yeah." Melody said "One day i would like to start a pack here. But my Father wants me to stay in MysticClan and have pups." "Do you have a Mother?"  Kaitou asked "I did once." She said "But she died when i was a pup." "My mom...well she was like my mom. She died." Kaitou said "How?" Melody asked "It was a few years ago. We were playing on the ice." Kaitou said "The ice started to crack and Autumn ran to me and threw me over to the side and when i got up and looked at where she was standing...she was gone and the ice had cracked." "Im so sorry Kaitou." Melody said "It was my fault." He said "I was the one who wanted to play on the ice that day." "Its not your fault." Melody said "Its no ones fault." Kaitou looked up at her and smiled. "So is Waverly your real parent?" She asked. Kaitou sighed "No she is like...my third mom." He said "My real Parents...Kate and Matt were killed by Fear. Then Autumn...Then Crystal." "My mom died from Fear two." She said "She was protecting me and my sister but...he killed her and took my sister away from me." She said "And Now!" Melody started yelling "Now she does not know who me or my Father is and she thinks she lives in ShadowClan!" Melody said "What was her name?" Kaitou asked "Flower." She said "Oh." "We should get going if we want to get home before anyone notices we are gone." Melody said "Okay." Kaitou and Melody started walking out of the cave and back to MysticClan. Once they crossed the Territory line they heard a noise coming from a bush behind them. "Whose there?" Melody said "Show yourself!" Melody said. A black and grey wolf slowly walked out of the bush. "H...Hello." The wolf said "Who are you...where are you from?" Kaitou Asked "My name is Kota." He said "Im from ShadowClan." "ShadowClan!" Melody yelled as she started running towards the wolf thinking he is a threat. Kaitou grabbed onto Melody's tail before she could reach the wolf. "Hes just a pup." Kaitou said "He was sent here to kill us." Melody said "N...no i am running away from my pack. I heard our Alpha talking about you and i thought that i should come." "Fear?" Kaitou asked "Yeah." Kota said "Why did you run away?" Melody asked "My home was burnt and my parents abandoned me. The Alpha wouldn't do anything about it so i just came here." He said "Okay but you cant stay with us." Melody said "If he comes looking for you then we will die." "Okay then where can i stay?" He asked. "Kaitou and Melody looked at each other and smiled. "We know a place." She said

Kaitou and Melody walked the pup to the waterfall cave. "You can stay in here for a while." Melody said "Alone?" Kota asked "Well we will come check on you everyday." Kaitou said "Okay." The pup said. They walked inside and sat down "We will bring you food every morning." Melody said "How?" Kaitou asked "Your going to hunt for him." She said "I can't hunt!" He said. Melody laughed "You are a Male wolf who does not know how to hunt at the age of 14?" She said "Yeah." He said "Okay fine then ill hunt." She said "And im going to teach you how to hunt to Kaitou." Melody said "We will be back soon." Kaitou said. Melody walked up to the young pup and licked his face "See You soon." She said. Kaitou and Melody walked out of the den and off the Mountain. "Hes like our pup." Melody said "Yeah." Kaitou replied "You do you like...like me?" Kaitou asked. Melody quietly laughed "Yeah." She said. Kaitou and Melody looked and each other and smiled. "So are you really going to teach me how to hunt?" Kaitou asked "Yep." She said. Kaitou smiled "So do you think anyone knows that were gone?" She said "Well the sun is setting so i think...yes." Kaitou answered "Ill just tell them that...we were going on a walk around the pack." She said "Okay." Kaitou said.

Kaitou and Melody crossed the line again and walked back to his den. "So ill see you tomorrow?" She said "Yeah but lets start hunting later." "Okay." Melody said "Night." "Goodnight." Melody replied as she started to walk back to her den. Kaitou walked inside the den and laid down. "So where were you?" Moon asked "Ahh!" Kaitou jumped back "Don't do that." He said. "Where were you?" She said again "I was uhh...on a walk." "A long walk." She said "Yeah Melody was giving me a tour." He said "Sure." She said "Go to sleep." "Alright but you have to tell em more in the morning." "There is nothing left to talk about." He said as he laid his head on his paws. Kaitou slowly closed his eyes and soon fell asleep. 

He woke up laying in the middle of the forest again. The wind was blowing really hard. "Ugh this again!" Kaitou said "This dream is getting old." Kaitou stood up but his leg was hurting and he fell. "What? I don't get it my leg was fine?" He said "Do i hurt it again?" He thought. "Maybe i can ask Waverly whats going on again." He said. Kaitou started crawling back to MysticClan. Once he reached Wavlery he asked her the same questions. "Waverly who created this." He asked "Someone from ShadowClan." She said "How did i hurt my leg?" He asked "I don't know you came home with Melody like that saying that you just tripped." "Okay its time to wake up now." Kaitou said "What!" Waverly yelled "Goodbye." Kaitou said as he smashed his head against the ground.
