Chapter 14 - Hunting

Kaitou woke up from the dream and thought for a second. "I hurt my leg twice." He thought "Someone from ShadowClan started is." "Fear!" He said. Kaitou ran out of the den and waited for Melody. "Where are you going?" Moon asked "Im waiting for Melody why?" He said "You guys are spending a lot of time together." She said "So." Moon smiled. "Well i have to go." She said "Where?" "With some wolf named Seth." She said "Okay have fun with that." Kaitou said "Hey Kaitou." Melody said "Ready?" She asked "Yeah." Kaitou and Melody started walking through the forest. "Melody...i keep having these weird dreams about a huge storm hitting MysticClan." He said "Their just dreams." She said "I know but i keep having them." Kaitou and Melody arrived at the water fall cave. "Okay wait here." Melody said as she walked into the cave.

"Kota?" She said as she walked further into the cave. "Melody." Kota said as he ran up to her "Hey did you sleep well." She asked "Not really." He said "It was dark and lonely." Melody thought for a second "Okay i have an idea but ill tell you tonight. So me and Kaitou are going hunting for you. Stay here until we get back." She said "Okay." Melody smiled and walked out of the den.

"Hey ready?" Melody asked "Yeah." He said. Melody and Kaitou started walking out into the forest where their was more animals. "So i had an idea." Melody said "What if i sneak out or ask my dad if i could go on a hunting trip by myself. Then i could take care of Kota at night." "Yeah and in the morning i can meet you at the territory line." Kaitou said "But we cant go everyday what if someone follows us." "Why would they follow us?" Melody asked "Well if we leave to the same place everyday others might get curious." He said Melody sighed "Alright here we are." She said as she crouched. Melody stared at the small rabbit. "Watch this." Melody whispered as she got ready to attack. Melody jumped out of the bushes and chased after the rabbit. The rabbit ran as fast as he could until he stopped at a dead end. He tried to turn back but Melody was already there getting ready to attack. She leaped forward and killed the small rabbit as Kaitou closed his eyes. "See!" She said as she picked up the dead rabbit. "Now lets get this to the cave." Kaitou and melody walked to the waterfall and into the cave. "Kota! Come Eat!" She yelled as she dropped the rabbit onto the floor. "Hey Melody?" Kaitou said "How are you so good at taking care of others?" He asked "Well when i was growing up i watched other Mothers and pups." She said "And i just do what they were doing." Kota walked up and saw the rabbit. "Thanks." He said as he started eating it. Kota stopped and looked up at Kaitou. "Hi dad." He said as he smiled. Kaitou froze for a sec thinking of what Kota just called him. "Hey Bud." He said. Suddenly a wolf started howling from a distance. "Oh no." Melody said "Whats wrong?" Kaitou asked "Its the Alpha. Hes calling everyone to the Pack Gathering." She said "Whats a Pack Gathering?" Kaitou asked "Its only for emergency's only. Somethings wrong." She said "Kota listen we will be back tonight okay." She said "Your leaving already." "We have to." She said "We will be back tonight." Kaitou said "Okay." Kota sighed as he laid down. "Lets go." Melody said

Kaitou and Melody ran home as fast as they could. "What do you think this is about?" Kaitou asked "I don't know but i hope its not about Fear." She said. They crossed the Territory Line into MysticClan and ran to the Pack Gathering. Kaitou saw Waverly and Moon sitting down in the corner. "Look theirs Waverly. Melody want to sit by us?" He asked. Melody looked around and could not find her Father. "I guess." She said as she followed Kaitou. Kaitou and Melody sat down next to each other. "Hey whats going on?" Kaitou asked "Something happened." Waverly said "Hey Kaitou i hardly see you now." Moon said "Where have you been?" "Nowhere." He said. "Shh its starting." Waverly said. The Alpha jumped up and a small rock in front of everyone. "Good Evening." He said "Im sure that most of you already know that other wolves have been coming in and out of our pack lately. Our Guards have spotted two wolves with a small black pup. We also have found out that someone here is from ShadowClan." The Alpha said. Wolves started whispering to each other. "We will search you tonight for any scent similar to the ones we tracked." "That is all." The Alpha jumped off the rock and walked back to his den. Kaitou and Melody looked at each other. "Kaitou the scent from Kota is on us!" Melody whispered "Don't panic ill think of something." Kaitou said.
