Chapter 2 - Hide and seek

We walked inside Elena's house. It was typical Arabic, well, we were in Yemen. It was so hot. As we walked inside, I laid on the couch. I sighed. Nate, Sully and Elena laughed. I heard children laughing and cheering.
- ... What was that...? - I asked.
- You'll see. - Elena said and chuckled.
I soon saw four children running and hugging Elena. I laughed and Nate did, too.
- alright, alright... Hi... - she smiled at them.
- This is Nate, Sully and [Y/N]. - she said, pointing to us. The kids stared at us and smiled. I smiled back.
- Is Nate [Y/N]'s husband??? - Natalie asked. My eyes widened and I nervously laughed.
- No, no... He... He's not... We're not... - I tried to explain, but I was too nervous, Nate laughed, too. He stepped closer to me, wrapped his arm around my shoulder and said:
- yes, we're married, live in a house with garden, have a dog and 6 little annoying children like you. - he said smiling. I laughed. I knew that he said that to make them laugh, but deep inside I wanted it to be true. Dammit, (Y/N)...
After a moment of silence, Elena asked:
- Would you like some tea?
- Yeah, tea sounds good! - I said, excited. I love tea.
Me and Nate went to the living room to wait for the tea. Sully went to the kitchen with Elena, probably to have a chat with her. I laid my head on Nate's shoulder and sighed. He hugged me and I felt myself blushing. Kids were playing hide and seek and sometimes me and Nathan said to them where other children were. It was kinda fun.
We saw Elena and Sully walking in the living room with our teas.
- oh, thanks! - I said. I sipped my tea and talked with Sully, Nate and Elena about things. We talked about what we were about to do tomorrow etc. A couple minutes later, kids ran to us and happily said:
- Nate, Sully, Elena, (y/n), play with us! - Julia said. We looked at each other and smirked.
- Ok, ok,.. I'm sure that they are really tired now... - Elena started to say, but I cut her off.
- its OK, we can play, can't we, boys? - I said, smiling and looked at Nate and Sully. Nate gave me sinister smirk. We soon began the game. I was in the " team " with Nate and Sully was with Elena. Mark began counting.
- 10... 9... 8...
Me and Nate quickly went to Elena's bedroom.
- OK, OK, where are we hiding?! - I asked nervously. I knew it's just a game, but I loved any risk .
- ummm... - he said and looked all over the room. - the closet! - he said, pointing to it. I looked at him with face "really?". He shrugged his arms and went to the closet. I sighed and followed him. I was nervous. We got into the closet, our faces inches of each other. I stared into his greenish-blue eyes and he started into my (e/c) ones. I realized that we were closing the space between us. I closed my eyes and... I saw bright light which blinded me. I shielded my eyes for a moment and when I could see again, I saw Elena, Sully and the kids staring at us. I cleared my throat and quickly walked out of the closet, Nate doing the same. I went to the bathroom and shut the door. I facepalmed myself and began to cry. I was so close to kiss him... No. No, that was stupid, (y/n) ... He's just your friend, nothing else... Face it...
