My choice is made. I may regret this but...i'm still a teen. This is all too much. I look at my brother and he knows what i choose. He pulls me into a hug. "Its for the best." He says.
"Is it?"
"For them maybe no, but for you...you need this. Your still a little girl." My eyes sting. Its been a long time since anyone has acknowledged that mi not even in my twenties yet. All people want to do is to grow up but i want to do the exact opposite. I want to be a little girl again, even with my horrible mother. Those times were simpler. At least no one was trying to kill me or do experiments on me. Even with all that i still have a pull to follow Jace and the kids.
"Am i a horrible person Jake?"
"No you're anything but that." I sigh.
"Come on, lets go home."He says.
"And where is home exactly? Not back at camp?" I raise an eyebrow to him.
He chuckles,"No back to where i was living at before father called me to meet you."
"Oh. Where is that?"
"In Missouri."
"Thanks for being so specific." I laugh.
"Anytime." He smiles. We leave and i feel my heart breaking. I rethink my decision. Should i go? What if Jace needs me? Its not like he is going to blurt it out that he needs me, but i want to be with my brother. Though its not like he cant stay with us. Right? But i don't want to have to make big decisions that impact peoples lives. Would the pack even accept me anymore? Now that i'm not one of them? Probably not. I open the door and look behind me. I could start a new life and all i have to do is to follow my brother who i trust with my life. I close my eyes and sit in the car. I turn my head to the window so Jake doesn't see the tears.
"Chris?" I don't reply.
"Its going to be OK." Is it? Is it going to be okay Jake?
