I didn't hear the rest because I was focusing on breathing. A blur came into my view and I saw it was a man. I whimpered and tried to scoot back out of his view. It was that guy from the group, I new it. He was coming to finish me off. I forgot the phone but I didn't really care, I was getting so tired. Maybe I could just sleep. The man reached my side and I could see he wasn't one of them. His hair had bits of blonde in it and his eyes were kind. He seemed like he was saying something. He went and picked up the phone then came back.
"What's your name?" I realized that he asked me and I shouldn't answer.
"M-M-Mary," I breathed before I couldn't take it anymore. I closed my eyes. He seemed dazed.
"You will find a key, scared from past yet stronger than ever. She will be from the night and of the day, filled with powers yet known to her. You're the one aren't you," his voice was awed. He bent down and brought his wrist to his mouth, and bit. He held his wrist above my mouth, causing a few drops to land in my mouth. I turned away.
"You need to drink, a few drops won't do anything." He whispered in my ear and went back to talking on my phone. "I'm going to take her to the hospital, she should have a chance left." He then brought my head to his wrist.               "Please, drink." I looked in his eyes and nodded, letting my mouth open.
After awhile he took his wrist away and took my bag. He placed one arm under my knees and the other behind my back and lifted me. I screamed as pained seared through me. He ran back the way he came as if I was nothing and laid me in the passenger seat of a car. He pulled a towel from the back and pressed it against my side.
"Put pressure against here." He ran to the other side and put the car in drive. My vision was going black around the edges and my breath was hitched. I found myself having trouble staying focused or awake for that matter. The man was well over the speed limit as he drove and came to an abrupt stop. He ran out and got me, running into the emergency room. He started shouting something but I didn't hear it. I closed my eyes and kept them closed until I was placed on a gurney. I was raced down to another room with nurses and doctors where I went unconscious.
