[IMPORTANT: if you want to really feel what i was feeling when i wrote this, especially the last scene at the end, listen to the song in the description. the lyrics are mentioned, and it's the song i pictured them listening to, as well as what i listened to when i wrote it.]

--

I awoke the next morning in Harry's bed. He was already awake, packing his things. We were to leave that afternoon.

"Hey," he said. I nodded and rubbed a hand over my eyes. "You feeling alright?"

"Yeah," I said. I sat up. "You never did tell me what last night was all about, or what those documents were."

"I spoke to Perkins this morning. He said whatever those pricks we spoke to said to that other small gang gained them some insight and they paid attention for a while. Figured out about the event last night and tried to crash it. They were all either wiped out or taken in by us within twenty minutes after we left. Whole thing lasted forty-five minutes. They brought all of their men and not nearly enough fire power to hold a decent fight. Quite pathetic."

"Sounds like poor planning."

"Yeah, and the documents were just some important stuff I was meant to give to Vinny."

I nodded. "Are they safe now?"

"Yeah, I'll get them to him soon."

I threw a hand over my face and stared up at the ceiling.

"I'm sorry for the way I acted."

"I thought we were over this."

I shrugged. "I can't stop thinking about it."

He didn't say anything. I had thought he left, but I felt the bed shift beside me. I knew he was facing me, but I didn't turn.

"About what you said to me or about what happened..."

"I don't know." I said, quickly. I lifted a hand to my face and rubbed over my eyes. "I know it had to happen. It wasn't my fault."

"You're right." he said.

"I feel like a total bitch for what I said to you."

He groaned, chuckling. "I don't care. I know you didn't mean it."

His arm wrapped around my waist and he pulled my body into his. He was cuddled up against me.

"Harry," I said, laughing.

"Stop worrying about everything, love." he whispered. His head was on top of mine. All I could see was his chest, so I closed my eyes and rested my head against his arm.

I sighed. My heart felt heavy, but this was one of the endless moments that I was glad I had Harry.

"Am I a burden to you?" I said, after a few minutes had passed. I looked up at him.

He lifted his head and looked down at me. His eyes narrowed.

"A burden?" he repeated. "Are you joking?"

"Sometimes I just feel like-"

"You're not a burden, Tilly." he said. "If anything, I am."

I scoffed. "That's ridiculous."

"I was far more reckless in work before you came along. I didn't care what happened to me; I wasn't safe. Now I've got something worth coming home to."
