That was intense..

I push myself harder than I ever had before to get out and get home. I come near a normal looking wooden door with windows to the side and I realize that this is the front door. I open the door and take off full speed towards the familiar path to one of the main roads. If I can catch a ride, I can get out and away. Yes maybe it would've been smart to grab one of their vehicles but those are tracked to no end.

I can hear voices in the distance and I push myself further. I zoom past the trees and the fallen branches. I finally make it to the asphalt road and I panic at what to do next. Not only have I not fed yet, I have hunters on my back, a whole new state to deal with as well. Why couldn't I be a mundane human at this point?

Oh that's right because I have a messed up family, a new brother I found out about, an old Hunter title, the list goes on for days. I don't hear any vehicles approaching and I know I'll get caught again if I don't keep moving. I can feel myself getting weaker by the moment. I follow the road to the main part of town, even though I often stayed away from that part I still remember where it was.

Only the ones who needed to go to town went. We had people to get us what we needed for food and all that stuff. We had our set groups within the house. I pick up to a jogging pace and luckily hear a speeding truck up ahead. I rush out to the street and wave my hands desperately trying to gain attention from the driver. I hear the squeal of the breaks and the headlights slow down as they near me.

I hurry to the window and see it slowly roll down. "Now why the hell would you be standing in the road? Do you wanna die girl?" A very hick man says as I shake my head. "Someone's after me, can we talk in the car while it's moving? I'm sorry to be so blunt but I gotta go like now." I say looking around the woods using the sweetest voice I can muster up. "Now honey you shouldn't get into random peoples ca-" "I don't fucking need a lesson, let me in." I say compelling him to scoot over to the other seat of the truck.

I get in fast and I switch gears and I slam on the gas as I speed away from the hunters lands. Now I gotta get all the way back to Idaho and I have no money, gas or anything. Lovely. Guess time to call daddy off someone's phone. I look to the poor shaking man next to me and notice a young women in the backseat. Both looking like they've seen a ghost. "Who are you?" The young girl asks her green eyes curious. "I'm just a normal girl who got dragged into some ex boyfriend issues." I tell her trying to sound somewhat mundane as I snicker in my head.

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that." She whispers as she lowers her head. "Why isn't Grandpa driving? What did you do to him?" She whispers. "Honey everything is fine, calm down." I compel her softly. "Do you have a phone I may borrow?" "Yeah here." She says holding out her pink glitter encrusted iPhone case. "Oh dear god, why pink?" I whisper to myself. I pull up the dial pad and quickly type in my dads number sadly.

Not even after the third ring I hear someone pick up. "Hello, who is this?" I hear my dad ask. "This would be your daughter. I Uhm need some help getting back." I say ashamed. "Oh now you want my help?!" He yells back. "Are you kidding me Estrella!! Why would you run out of the house like that?! Without contact of any sorts? Are you stupid? You are what everyone is after." He screams at me. "Who's after me? Why?" I ask concerned for my well being. "Are you that dumb daughter? You are the key to allies of all species. You will ruin my kingdom, you will cause such peace to flow through all the lands.

"There can't be. You'll ruin everything I've created. Some wonder if you'll ever become dark, but as far as I know you're too light to see it. Don't come home." He spits out darkly as tears start to fall from my face. "Why?" I whisper. "Because I don't need you here anymore. I'll continue my throne and I'll ignore the blood that runs in your veins. I'll get someone to get you your things, and a place of your own." He says once more with a sigh.

"Fine." I tell him sharply. "Tell Sterling to come drop it off, I don't want to see you." I add on. "I'll track this phone and find where you should stop to grab your shit." He tells me. "Why are you being like this!" I yell. "I've realized that you'll never be cold hearted like me, and that doesn't sit well with my kingdom or me. They love you because you are different, but different is what will get them killed." He tells me a I let the words sink in and I end the call.
