A month after Ireland and the Witch

I watch the targets below me, careful to their surroundings as I silently readjust my bow from the trees. The nasty red gleam in those eyes signaling that they are rouges. I see two headed my way but I can hear more from a distance, maybe seven miles or so back to the north. I pull back my bow and sling the arrow headed straight for one of their chests. I quickly reload my arrow and attack the second one before he even had a chance to see what the issue was. I realize then I missed and hit him in the stomach instead of the heart, ugh. I climb down the tree in a fast manor as I watch him look at me in disgust.

"You Bitch!" He screams at me. "I would rather not use that term, but if that's your choice of words." I say behind the fabric covering my mouth. "Who are you hunter?" He asks and I bend over laughing. "Too funny! Me a hunter? As if I would ever go back to that!" I say as I watch him struggle to pull the arrow out. "I'm going to kill you." He snarls. "Nah I'll kill you first." I say with a wink as I lower the fabric and hear his shocked intake of breath. "E-E-Estrella?" He stumbles over his words. I look at him after I take out my dagger in my shoe. "The one and only." I whisper as I flick the blade. "Why would you kill your own kind!?" He almost yells.

"You my dear friend are rouge. You personally have killed three towns in two weeks and that's not my kind. Now if we're done here I have other things to do." I say walking closer. "I-I didn't mean to." He whimpers out. "Whatever." I say as I slam the knife into his heart and watch him go still. "Hmm." I say as I hear the footsteps coming closer. "Another day I suppose." I whisper to myself and speed off in the direction of my car.

I arrive to the black hummer I recently got from my dad in order to go on these little hunts. Only deal I had to make was I had to have a GPS on me at all times sadly there's one in my car as well. It's not like I'm going to run away or something. I have nowhere to go anyway. Either way the pendant around my neck tracks my moves and the phone in my car as well. It was either no hunts or a tracked hunt and I would rather be able to hunt.

I pull my keys out of my pocket as I near the door, I finally open it and set the car to the warmest setting there is. I then realize my bow is resting on my lap as I hesitantly decide to go put it in its case. Ireland was colder than this but this is pretty cold as well. Its November here in the states so that means snow is coming and fast I just know it. I get to head back home, and I really can't wait to. Sterling has been away since the hunter war ended, since I was in Ireland with Tayo. A whole month, I haven't seen him for a whole month, well more along the lines of a few weeks but I miss him like crazy.

I look at my phone resting in the cup holder and I check my missed phone calls and messages mostly from my father. I hit the touch screen in the car and call him back as I get situated before the car starts to move. "Estrella." Dad says kind of happily. "Hey Dad." I say as I begin my drive home down the mountains and back to Idaho. Another thing that happened was they finally told me where my dad's castle was located, bout time right? "How'd the hunt go?" He says breaking me out of my thoughts. "Well only two are dead, there were more coming but I would rather let them wonder who killed there two. They've been traveling in packs lately. I think there up to something but I don't know yet." I say as I hear him tisk.

"I don't approve of you doing this you know that right? How long will it take you to get home? Sterling will be here tonight, I still haven't told him you're not back yet. There's a lot we need to discuss when you come back." He says dropping the happy tone. "Yes I know that, uhm maybe 13 hours and good he will see me when he sees me. Yes I also know I have to study my royal duties this week. Hunting is every other week, I know dad." I say sighing. "If you are to take the throne this must be done. Have you fed lately?" He asks concerned. "If I take the throne. No I haven't since last week. I'll pick up some lunch after I check out at the hotel." I say annoyed.

"You will take the throne. Are you talking human food or blood?" He asks always confused by me. "Whatever comes first?  I can't exactly take blood in the morning. I'll eat lunch then head back home." I tell him. "I'll see you tomorrow then." He says as I tell him goodbye and the call ends. I make it to the hotel I grab my bags and check out as I go to the town for lunch then I'll go back home. This town is a medium sized town set in the mountains of Colorado, I've been told by the hotel owner to check out this little burger bar.

I park the hummer and lock the doors as I enter the small hole in the wall place. I sit myself in a booth in the corner so I can see all sides of the place in case something happens. A young blonde waitress walls up to me with pen and paper and smiles bright with red lipstick. "Hello miss! What can I get you?" She asks. "Oh hi, I'll take a Coke and the most famous burger here." I say smiling. "Ah the bacon burger I suppose! I'll get that order in for ya and I'll get your drink to you shortly!" She says as she hurries off.

I hear my phone ringing and I sigh as I pull it out with Tayo on the caller ID. I pick it up. "Estrella! When are you coming back? Good lord I'm bored out of my mind here. Your insane dad has been making me read, yes read. Like I read! He says it's good for a young man to know literature and I'm like I would rather go kill something. But how are you?" He says laughing. "Okay chill. It's good to read Tayo. And I'm fine, I'll be back tomorrow morning or super late to tonight. One or the other."

"Oh. You know Sterling comes back tonight? He's going to be upset if you're not there. You sure you don't want to fly back? Your dad would let you leave the car there; someone would come and get it. You've been gone for a week, and things have already gone crazy haha." "Tayo I'll be home when I'm home, I'll be back for a whole week then I'll leave again you know this." I say annoyed as the waitress puts the drink and food in front of me and I nod my head in thanks. "Hurry, I miss you. Plus if you're back maybe your dad will leave me alone." "You're living in his house, if he wants you to scrub the floors then you would. I'll be back soon and then I have to study the throne crap and then I get to hunt for a week. I got to go, call you later my lunch is here." I tell him as I hang up and look at the delicious burger.
