Chapter 22

I woke up to the sound of my alarm beeping because today was our first day of school. I went to bed early and woke up at 5:30 A.M so that I would have time to get ready in the morning. When I went downstairs I grabbed a bowl, milk, a spoon, and some Frosted Flakes and made my cereal. I grabbed a seat at the counter when Juliet and Tina came downstairs happy as could be. They were talking as they walked down the stairs so they didn't notice me until they were off of the steps. When they finally noticed my presence they smiled and gave me a group hug which I gladly returned. "So I guess you were up before us Lily? Wow! Thats something I never thought I would say ever." Tina said which me Juliet laugh while I gave Tina a playful glare. "I woke up so that I would have time to get ready. But you guys have to help me pick out an outfit." I told them and their faces lit up with joy. Today was really warm as usual in Florida so for my clothes thy picked out a black skater skirt, and paired it with a bubblegum pink skirt, with some black flats. For my makeup they put on mascara a light pink eyeshadow with some eyeliner, then some natural blush, a tiny bit of concealer to cover up my under eye circles and my under eye freckles, then topped it off with a peach colored neutral lipstick. Then last but not least they straightened my hair. "What would I do without you guys? I look amazing! But next one no skirt." I said giggling and we have each other a group hug. "I'll wake up the guys so you can get yourselves ready? Ok?" I asked them and they nodded with approval. I went to wake up Will first since I knew he would be the hardest to wake up. "Wakey, Wakey Will, it's time for the first day of school." I said softly and Will groaned. He squinted his eyes then opened them slowly, adjusting his eyes to the light. "Ok I'm up." He said and I left the room so he could get dressed and do whatever he would do to get ready. Then it was Gabe's turn, this was going to be easy since Gabe would usually wake up around his time. I opened the door slowly and quietly. I tiptoed over to his bed and sat next to him. "It's the first day of school Gabe time to wake up." He nodded without opening his eyes and gave me a thumbs up. I hope I could trust him. I slowly shut the door and walked to my room that I shared with Caleb. The door was already open so I walked in and laid on the bed next to Caleb. I gave him a quick peck on the lips and he smirked and woke up instantly. "It's time for the first day of school." I said to Caleb he still didn't open his eyes yet. I walked into my bathroom and when I got done I walked back downstairs to where everyone was in the kitchen. Once everyone noticed j was waking downstairs I noticed that Tina and Juliet were smiling and squealing and Gabe, Caleb, and Will were wide-eyed. "I immediately paused "What?" I asked them and Gabe then said "What are you wearing and why do have so much makeup on and also what did you do to your hair it's always been curly?" "Yeah what he said." Caleb and Will said. "Well Tina and Juliet picked out my outfit, dos my makeup, and did my hair for me. So if you blame someone blame them." I said sounding innocent and pointing at them. I giggled and so did everyone else but Gabe. "Tina, Juliet, you know the rules about to much makeup." He stated sounding like my dad or just my highly protective best friend. Tina and Juliet just shrugged laughing. I went to go grab our schedules out of the mailbox and we all compared them. Me, Tina, and Caleb have homeroom and specials together. Gabe and Will have homeroom and specials together and Juliet is by herself. I felt bad but she has some other friends there with her. But for our regular classes me, Juliet, Will, and Caleb our always together and then Tina and Gabe are in a separate section. At least they are together so that no one is by themselves. We all went out separate ways and we all walked into our new homeroom. There was a row of five desks so Tina sat in the back, Caleb sat in between us. Then I was directly in the middle of the row. Once we all sat down the teacher called attendance. There was a kid named Rodney in the very first seat in my row but there was one more seat in front of me open. The teacher continued to call each name down a list. "Lily?"
"Here"
"Caleb?"
"Here"
"Tina?"
"Here"
"Dominik?"
"Dominik?"
At that time a kid who was short, had hazel eyes, freckles, and orange hair walked in the room and sat in front of me.
"Oh, I'm here sorry my bus late."
He said and took his seat, I had to admit the he was pretty cute. But I didn't want to get caught up in another love triangle, I just got out of one. He turned around so he was facing me. "Hey." He said to me I responded with "Hey." "My name is Dominik what's yours?" He asked very happily. "Lily." I responded and he reached out for me to shake his hand which I gladly took. That's when he turned back around and started talking to his friends. Caleb's face was bright red with jealousy and Tina knew too. Caleb wouldn't look at me he was just glaring at Dominik the whole time while j was talking to Tina. He must have noticed Caleb because next thing you know I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn to see Dominik and he whispers in my ear "Who is that guy behind you and why is he staring at me like that. He looks like he is going to kill me and I don't think he likes me for some reason." "Oh that guy is Caleb, he is my boyfriend. And I just think he is a tiny bit jealous but he will get used to it. I have a lot of guy friends. Just give him a few days or weeks." I said the last part laughing and so was Dominik. After that I swear I could her Caleb muttering "God I hate this guy already." I just shook the thought off my mind and started talking to Tina again and waiting for us to get introduced to out new gym teacher.
