Chapter 27

Ian smirked at me. He seemed like a bad boy by the way he dresses. But the way he take to people seems like he would be nice. His voice sounded like Dylan O'Briens voice to me. It was nice. "Sorry, but I have to go get home." I told Ian and he said that he was going in my direction anyway. "How far away is your house?" Ian asked me turning his head to me as we walked. "Umm maybe 1 hour away." I told him. "Same with mine. What's your street?" He asked me sweetly. "Hillsburry Drive." I told him and he chuckled. "Mine too." Ian said to me. We agreed to walk home together and we talked about a few random things. We quickly became good friends and exchanged numbers. He offered to walk me to my Hyde first but if he saw where I lived than he would know for sure that I am rich. So I politely declined, said goodbye, and headed off in my own direction. It only took me a minute to teach my house since Ian lived across the street from me. I walked back in a everyone seemed to be asleep. So I went upstairs changed into my soft pajama pants and t-shirt. Then I hopped on my bed next to Caleb. He wrapped his arms around me when my phone buzzed. It made Caleb look up. I grabbed my phone turning it on with Caleb looking over my shoulder. It immediately showed 2 new messages from Ian. And they read
"Hey Lily, it's Ian just wanted to make sure you have my number."
"Oh, also goodnight and I'll see you on Monday I guess."
I smiled and felt Caleb tense up again but he didn't say anything. I responded
"Goodnight Ian."
Then I shut off my phone for the night and snuggled back up with Caleb. Then we fell asleep to each other's warmth.
~The next day~
I woke up dreading the day. I had to get my braces today. I didn't want to wake up but since it was Saturday I got to do Caleb's makeup and thought it would be fun. Then my phone buzzed and I reached to grab it. I turned it on and it say I have two new messages one from Dominik and one from Ian? Who is Ian? Then memories started pouring into my mind from last night. I remembered everyone coming him and watching "Inside-Out" and Dominik knocking on the door. Then I remembered him getting beat up and me taking him home. But the most important thing I remembered I after j dropped off Dominik I saw a guy from school and told the limo driver to go home. So he wouldn't know I was rich. I also remember meeting him and becoming good friends with him. He was Ian, Ian was that guy from last night. I read Dominik's first which read
"Hey, sorry to bother you and probably wake you. But I wanted to say thank you, for helping me last night. I'll see you later."
I chuckled at how well he knew me. What he didn't know is I was already up because I needed to get braces. No one knew I was getting my braces on today besides Miranda's mom and I. I responded to Dominik's text with
"No problem, I know you would do the same for me. But what you got wrong is that you didn't wake me up. I woke up early today with the sun☀️ still not happy about it though. Talk to you later bye👋🏻"
Then I pressed send and read Ian's text which read.
"Hey. I wanted to know if you wanted to come hang out at Sky Zone with me today at 1:00. We would go home whenever we wanted and probably pick up something to eat on the way home."
I haven't ever been to Sky Zone before so I immediately typed
"Yasssss! I can't wait! I come over to your house at 12:45 if that's okay?"
I pressed send and he instantly replied
"😂😂 Yeah, that's fine. See you in a few hours."
I decided not to text back anything and get ready for my orthodontist appointment. I had to wiggle out if Caleb's grip to go take my shower. I got undressed and stepped into the shower where the warm water instantly warmed up my body. I sang to "Superficial Love" by Ruth B. It reminded me of Caleb and I but it is t our song. Our song is "Toxic" by Melanie Martinez.

I hopped out of the shower and got dried and dressed. I wore and pair of stretchy booty shorts and a crop top that landed right above my belly button. I didn't need to worry about showing some of my stomach since I have a small pair of abs. I curled my hair at the ends and straightened the rest. I looked good then for my faces put on some moisturizer and some foundation, concealer, eyeshadow, eyeliner, blush, mascara, and lipstick. I wasn't trying to impress anyone but I just felt like wearing some more makeup than normal since I had a lot more time than usual. I walked out of the bathroom where I find Caleb has disappeared. He was probably in the kitchen, I didn't want to interrupt everyone else where Will was sleeping so I quietly snuck downstairs. I walked into the kitchen to find Gabe and Tina. "Hey Lil-" Gabe started to say but then stopped. I have Tina a confused look who was staring at me the same. "What's wrong with you guys?" I asked them. "You look completely different. With all the makeup. Did you use your vanity mirror that didn't have a lot of light?" Tina asked me and I nodded. "You did your makeup well, but you should look at yourself in a well lit up mirror to see what you fully look like." I rushed to the bathroom mirror and took a look in the mirror. "Wow!" I exclaimed loudly which I then realized I was right next to Will's room so I probably woke up Will and Juliet. Since Juliet loves sleeping together. I walked back out where Gabe and Tina turned back to what they were doing. Gabe made a better breakfast than normal with two chocolate chip pancakes buttery and crispy like I like it, 8 slices of bacon with more if needed, and 5 pieces of sausage with more if needed just like the bacon. I felt that today was going to be a great day.
~At the orthodontist appointment~
I grabbed a seat in the waiting room as Miranda's mom filled out the paperwork needed for my braces. I took about 10 minutes before they called us back so I could officially get my braces. I was nervous and scared but I was also happy and excited. So I guess I was a mixture of scervous (Nervous and scared) and hacited (Happy and excited) I think at least. When I first got to my room I sat in my chair and saw a tray with the brackets and wires they need to put in my teeth. It looked really scary and intimidating. Miranda's mom insisted on staying with me through the whole process which she did even though I told her she didn't have to. The orthodontist came in and started cleaning my mouth and and then put this glue on my teeth. A little bit got on my tongue and stung it. It tasted horrible but I tried to ignore it. He instantly dried the glue on my teeth in about three seconds each tooth. He then started putting on my brackets and drying each one for about ten seconds. Then they move on to my wires which only took about 30 seconds for each wire to be put on. Then after that they had me pick a color and I decided that for the fort month I would have teal and white for my cheer team since our last competition is coming up in about two weeks. This process took a little bit longer than everything else but it didn't hurt it just felt weird. After that they explained to me how to properly take care of my braces and then they let me go. I finally realized it was time for me to go to Ian's house so I didn't bother to go back home and just walked to Ian's house. I knocked on the door and waited for someone to come to the door. Ian answered the door with a smile once he saw me. I smiled with my mouth closed not showing my teeth. I decided that people will find out in their own and I don't really like the way braces look on me anyway. So we hopped in Ian's moms car and drive off. The car ride was silent because I fell asleep leaning against the car door and slept until we got there.
