"What do we have in common?" he asked quietly.
"Us?" she spoke softly to him, "We are so much alike. People like us always find a way to escape from the reality of life. We might be innocent and stare at the stars for an escape. Some of our kind look for little antidotes. They turn to dark and harmful things than can only temporarily take the numbness away. They do it to feel alive. We are not them anymore. We are those who look to the stars and we are the ones who look for a shooting star even when we've never found one," She looked up once again at the sea of stars. They seemed to be just out of her reach.
"We always want to escape, even when we know we never will."
