Dear Amelia,
We all missed you. Everyone wanted to know where you had been.
People even asked me!
The lowlife. People ignore me! But they cared about you.
I was having an average afternoon when you called. Watching TV, the usual.
Then my phone rung. An unknown number? I picked it up.
"Hey Emma" I heard the voice say on the other end of the line.
"Sorry wrong number" I responded.
"Okay, sorry Emmett"
"Wait, what? Who is this?"
"I'll give you three guesses but for every wrong answer I'll cut off a finger"
"Wait - Amelia?"
"Congratulations you get to keep your fingers... for now"
"Where have you been? Every one is worried! Sophie thinks you joined the circus, Jacob thinks you are secretly male and Kenz"
"--How is she by the way?" You cut me off.
"I don't know, she's your best friend and even she has no idea."
"Yes well, she is coming with us."
"Wait hold up Amelia, this isn't a John Green book! You can't just disappear for weeks and then drag me to an undisclosed location!"
"Yes I can!" You protested
"No"
"Yes"
"No"
"Ugh fine, you have ruined my mystery ok? I hope you are proud."
"Amelia." I warned
"I just want to go to the zoo ok? Jeez why do you have to be such a buzzkill?"
"And Kenz is coming with us?"
"Yes"
"Ok"
"Really, after all that you are going to just say OK"
"Yes"
"Pick you both up at 10 am tomorrow" You say finally.
*click*
Bye, I guess. I muttered.
