Chapter 7

Bella's Pov

"Wake up! Wake up!"

I groaned as I opened my eyes to the blinding sunlight that was streaming into my room. What time is it? 6:30 in the morning. It's Saturday! Who would have the guts to wake me up on a Saturday? I look around my room to see nobody there. Did I just imagine somebody waking me up? I definitely didn't imagine it. I clearly remember a little girl's voice telling me to wake up. It must have been my sneaky little Emily.

I managed to crawl out of bed with another groan and make it to my bathroom. I somehow have this weird taste in my mouth. I need to brush my teeth. I opened my cabinet of toiletries and embarrassing creams and medicines to find my bubble gum flavored toothpaste. I know what you're thinking. Shouldn't she be using mint flavored toothpaste like a normal person? The answer to that question is no. I've always been addicted to gum and when Edward left it only intensified the addiction. Gum has always calmed me down.

After my mouth was a bubble gum paradise, I went out to find the little squirt that woke me up way too early. I put on my fluffy unicorn slippers and pink robe since it was starting to show the early stages of fall outside. I wonder what today's date is.

The minute I walked into the living room I knew what today's date was: September 13th.

"Happy Birthday Bella!" My wonderful sister and best friend yelled. I was in shock. I can't believe I forgot my own birthday.

"What do you think?" Taylor asked as we all went in for a group hug. I looked around the room. The color scheme was all shades of blues. There were a few blue streamers hung across the room with some balloons floating on the ceiling. There was a banner draped across the kitchen ceiling saying "Happy 19th Birthday Bella!" It was probably made by Emily. I noticed a few little presents sitting in the corner of the room and three cupcakes were sitting on our small dining table. It may have seemed small to a person still living a normal life, but to us this is a lot considering we can't leave this place.

"It's perfect!" I squealed as I took it all in. I then remembered why I came out here in the first place.

"Emily?"

"Yes?" She said giving me her 'I'm innocent' look.

"Were you the one who woke me up this morning?"

"Maybe." She said as she slowly grabbed her dance bag and sprinted out of the room giggling.

"Where does she think she's going? Her dance class doesn't start till 9:30." I said as I grabbed some juice and sat at the table.

"Her teacher said she had time for a private class with her this morning and it was her choice if she wanted to do it." Taylor said as she sat down next to me.

"Well, I'm proud of her. She's going out of her way in order to keep dancing." I said while taking small sips of juice.

"Yep and since its your birthday.....do you want to go surfing this afternoon?"

"Definitely! I hear the waves are incredible this time of year." I said finally waking up.

"I know! I heard there are supposed to be forty foot waves this afternoon! This is going to be amazing!"

I can't believe us. We are jumping around our apartment in excitement over waves. Then again, what is there to be excited about anymore? There were no weddings to go to since marriage was off limits unless there were vampires who were getting married. There were no new movies you were excited to see. There was nothing. This is all we can get excited about.
