Chapter 2

Aro's Pov

We had flown in every vampire from across the globe and had turned our throne room into a type of entertainment room. We had a stage for the humans when they audition and tables for each coven. We had assigned everyone their own rooms while mates got to share one. We decided to have us vampires vote on the plan. The majority vote wins. We think most will agree with us, but the animal drinkers are going to be a problem.

We notice everyone is starting to file in with confused, scared, and nervous faces. We made sure nobody told them about our plan before it was time.

"Welcome to Volterra Castle!" I exclaimed as everyone got into their seats. "We are very excited to have all of you here." I said as I motioned the human servers to send out glasses of human and animal blood.

Many took a glass gratefully since most of them had a long journey to take before making it here.

"We would like to let you know beforehand to not be nervous or scared. We are in need of help from all of you." I said noticing the still scared crowd.

"We have a plan that requires all of you to join in. We think it is time for our species to take a stand and rule over the humans. They have ruled this world long enough and we think it should be our time."

After I made this speech, everyone looked at us like we were crazy. What are we going to do? If we don't get enough people to vote yes then we're toast!

Then Caius decided to give it a try. "Aren't you all sick and tired of hiding away during the day just so the humans don't see that you are different? Don't you wish the humans could know who's boss? Our kind was made to take over the world. We were just too stupid to see it. It's time to show those humans who the real dominant species is!"

Caius' speech was amazing and everyone seemed to agree. They were all cheering.

"We decided to make this fair and have each coven vote yes or no," I said proudly.

When everyone finished with their voting decisions a half an hour later, we tallied them up.

We noticed only two covens said no: the Denali and Cullen covens.

We weren't surprised considering they were animal drinkers. The majority vote said yes so we were going through with our plan.

We filed everyone back in and announced that our plan was going into action. "What made you think of this all of a sudden?" I heard an angry vampire say. It was Edward. He was in Carlisle's coven.

"We just though it was time to take a stand," I said angrily.

"Why should we hurt the humans? We have lived with them peacefully until now. I don't understand why we still can't do that." He retaliated.

"They have to be stopped! We have as just as much a right to rule as they do!"

"They rule, but they don't make us into slaves! We were all humans once as well. They are almost exactly like us!" He said

"They are lucky! They are lucky we have stayed in peace this long! They don't make us into slaves because we have done such a great job at making our existence a secret!" I said exasperated.

Noticing how angry I was, Carlisle tells Edward to sit down. He at first is reluctant for some reason, but eventually sits.

Most of the room cheered while we started planning and making rules.

The rules were: Each coven would get their own country or state and they could do whatever they wanted with that area. The humans must audition and the majority vote would decide if we keep them or kill them. The oldest living child or sibling must live in the place where they were born. Humans must obey their masters. Other newer vampires do not get land and instead work with a high title.

"Before these rules go into action we must gather all the humans." Said a bored-looking Marcus.

Everyone cheered as we gave assignments to hundreds of vampires. Each vampire got their own area to search. As they went out, I watched as our plan came together.
