" Dale Watch Out! " I hear Louriza call from behind me. Just then a wolf jumped at me. I quickly stabbed it while covering my eyes. I didn't want to hurt the poor animal.

Mickeey then shot at it with his gun. We all look at him confused. It was clearly dead already. " What? I was just making sure. "

" We'll good job, you made the whole pack come for us. " Louriza said. She groaned as her eyes turned black. " Let me handle it. "

The three of us back up as we heard the wolves get closer. It went quiet before we saw three wolves jump at Louriza, mouths wide open for attack. I hope she doesn't get hurt. Wait, no, I mean..ugh..

Louriza attacks the wolves before they could reach her. As she fights one of the wolves sneak up behind her. The three of us tried to warn her. But we were too late.

The wolf bit her arm then her leg, causing her to fall to the ground. Mickeey then shot the wolf as I ran over to Louriza's side. She was back to normal. I could tell she was in pain but she didn't show it.

" Louriza, Maybe we should relax for a bit. " I tell her as I helped her stand.

" No we must go before the spirits take control of me. We don't have time to sit around. "

" It'll be alright. Just relax. It's getting dark. We need to find somewhere to rest. But first, let's patch up those bites. And pray that you don't have rabies. " I say. She sighs and nods her head in agreement. Mickeey and Erika check around to make sure nothing else was coming.

I take the bandage straps from out her backpack. She sits on a log and holds out her arm. I wrap the bandage around the bite on her arm and leg. Those won't be healing soon.

Louriza's POV

I look at Dale as he wraps me up. I don't know why I have feelings for him. I've never felt that before. Maybe because he's my first actual friend since I got cursed. I probably scare him to death, yet he still stays by my side. He probably thinks I forced him to come with me. Ugh, soon we'll be in Winnipeg and I'll be free. And I could finally say my feelings without disobeying the spirits. I wasn't supposed to have a partner or be in a relationship. I have feelings too. I'm still half human.

" Done. " Dale says. He looks up and catches me staring at him. I quickly look away. Well that was embarrassing.

" Thanks Dale. Now we just need to find- "

" There's two empty shacks nearby. I can lead the way. " Mickeey says. He must really like going on things like this.

Dale then helps me up again. His arm perfectly wraps around my waist. I wrap my arm around his shoulders, which actually pretty hard with my height. But we made it work.

We kept walking for a few miles before finally reaching the shacks. Now we all know I have to get in a shack alone. I don't want the spirits to haunt them too.

" Luckily there are three beds in each shack. So Louriza you can go ahead and go alone. "

I nod and walk with Dale into the shack. It was a nice space. Few windows which was perfect for the spirits. They don't like to be seen.

Dale helped me into bed. The bite hurt like hell but I won't make a fool out of myself and cry. I'm not a softy like some people.

" Do you need anything? " Dale asks.

" Can you hug me and tell me everything would be alright? " I ask. He smiled and hugged me tightly without hurting me.

" Everything will be okay. We'll get to Winnipeg, and we're gonna save you. I won't give up on you. I promise. "

Those words hit me hard. A tear finally went down my cheek. I really hope this curse will be gone. I don't think I can handle it any longer.
