I wake up earlier than the others. I carefully go out my shack and to Louriza's. I open the door slowly to make the spirits weren't still there.

Louriza was sitting up in the bed with her eyes closed. A few tears fall down her cheek as she starts to speak. " I don't wanna hurt anybody. But no one will ever notice that. I don't want anyone to be afraid of me. I may not be human, but I still have feelings too. Making people afraid of me hurts. I want to be able to have friends again. "

A light figure appears in front of her. It must be a spirit. I close the door a little, making sure to not get seen.

Louriza opens her eyes which were completely black. But as soon as the figure touches her..they turn white.

" Soon Louriza. Just a few more people, then you'll be free. You won't be a dead girl anymore. " It says. Louriza sighs.

" Just a few more people. " She repeats as the figure disappears. She then closes her eyes again. Just in time for me to walk in.

I walk up to her and see she's crying. I've never seen her cry. I sat behind her on the bed and wrap my arms around her. My dad would always do this to my mom when she was sad.

Louriza turns and looks at me. Her eyes back to normal. She then faces back to the front and leans back on me. She puts her hands on my arms and I hug her tightly. " Dale, Do you think we would be able to save me? "

" Of course, we can't quit now. We're almost there. " I tell her. She didn't respond.

She turns around quickly and kisses me out of nowhere. I think I need a moment..

She pulls away after a while and immediately hugs me. " Thanks for staying with me this whole time. If I were you I wouldn't have agreed. But you have faith in me. You look at me like a human and not a dead spirit monster. You're a true friend. "

" You're welcome. I admit At first I was a bit scared of you. But we're getting more comfortable with each other. I'm getting to see your human side, you still have some humanity in you. I guess I had never took the time to notice it before. "

She smiles. It was a beautiful smile, one that most girls dream to have.

" We should get going. " She whispers. She gets up and grabs her stuff. I shake myself out of shock and get up to help her.

" Does your bites still hurt? " I ask as we walk out. She unwraps the bandage on her arm. It was healed perfectly.

" The spirits heal me over night. "

I nod. We look up and see Erika and Mickeey come out the shack ready to go.

We start walking once again. I wonder what my mom and dad are thinking right now. I just disappeared without saying anything to anyone. I didn't even leave a note. Knowing them they most likely started a search party.

I could feel Louriza staring at me again. Once I look her way she turns quickly. She is the most adorable person I've ever met.

Louriza's POV

Me and Dale held hands as we walked. Maybe me kissing him made us closer. I would like that. I just wish I was fully human. I don't wanna scare him with my deadly abilities. I might accidentally kill him if I'm not careful. We need to get to Winnipeg quick.

I look over to Mickeey and Erika. They were two complete opposites. Erika was a quiet girl, but Mickeey was very talkative. I could understand why Erika was quiet, she lost the love of her life. I would be the same if I lost Dale. Even though he may not like me back.

I let go of Dale's hand and walk over to Erika. " Are you okay? " I ask as I watch her twirl the dagger in her hand.

" I'm fine. Just a little sad. But it's okay. " She says.

" Is it about your boyfriend? " I ask. She sighs.

" Yeah, but don't worry about it. Just don't talk about it. Talk about something else. That's why Mickeey is always talking, so I won't have the time to think about it. "

" Oh, that explains a lot about him. He says the weirdest things. " I say. She laughs. She has a wonderful laugh. I remember when I used to make Megan laugh.
