Stiles POV
"Derek do I have to go to school tomorrow? Its a friday. I dont want to see the world." I asked. We both got back to the Hale house at about 11:00 pm. I was determined not to cry about my dad anymore. I dont need him if he's not going to accept me. But I dont think I can handle going to school. No doubt everyone would know. I am pretty sure people would be ok with me dating a guy, I mean it was alright with Danny, but the situation with my dad would be awkward. Word travels fast in this small town. I dont want people seeing my bruise and giving me all this sympathy. I just want to act like normal.
"Stiles you already missed a day. I dont think thats smart. People will notice your absence. But if it makes you feel better than its alright with me." Derek said. Why is he so reasonable and smart? I knew he was right. I will go and pretend like nothing happened. Maybe lydia could cover my bruise? I mean we have the same skin tone. I think thats the most gay thing I have ever thought. Ohmygod. I begin to laugh and Derek looks at me questioning.
"Just a funny thought." I try to stifle my laughing. He just smiled and shook his head. I wish he smiled more around everyone else. I think he looks better with a smile than a scowl. Dont get me wrong he always looks hot but a smile just adds to it. His smile is also contagious. It makes every one get the same happy look. I love it.
"You should smile more around everyone else too Derek." I told him replaying what I had just thought.
"Well now I have a reason too." He blushed.
"Aww! Derek!" I ran up and jumped into his arms and kissed him on the cheek.
"I need to regain all the manliness i lost. And then some." He said. "What happened to my badass side?!"
"I dunno. I like both Dereks, this one more though. So stay like this around me at least ok?" I laughed.
"I am going to see if Lydias still up. I want to see if she has something to cover this up." I pointed to my bruise. Derek nodded glaring at my bruise.
"Derek are you ok?" I asked worriedly as he sat me down.
"I feel terrible. I let someone hurt you, a mere human. If I cant protect you from that how could I ever protect you from anything more. I mean you protected me from the Kanima. I cant help but feel like i am not good enough to protect you." He looked upset and confused.
"It wasnt your fault on either of those. One of them you were paralyzed. And the other was because I needed to tell him alone. Its alright. Im fine still." I comforted him. I smiled and jingled my beloved jeeps keys.
"Off to Lydias!" I smiled and headed over there.
Lydias POV (A/n trying out new POV's!!!)
The doorbell rang, luckily my mom was at work, as usual, and my dad doesnt live here. So no one was disturbed. I heard from Danny what happened and I felt terrible. I wasnt sure what to say or what state he'd be in. I took a breath in an opened the door. There was stiles staring at me with his big brown eyes, and his bruised cheek, smiling. Smiling. This kid, had been hit and kicked out. Abandoned and yet he still smiled. It broke my heart but made it feel better at the same time. I invited him in and pulled him into a hug, he hugged me back.
"Lydia?" He asked shyly.
"Yes?" I replied confused at him holding back.
"Can you teach me and help me cover this up?" He looked in the mirror at his bruise in digust.
"Sure, we have the same skin tone after all." I tried to remain happy for his sake. It seemed to work because returned his smile to his face. He laughed even. I felt accomplished for making this damaged boy smile. This kid was one of my bestfriends. I brought out some products that i has lots of for him to take with him to apply on his own. I hand him a few things he'll need. He dabs some of the cover up on and winces. I reach out and show him how to do it correctly. He weakly smiled at me as i gave him some to take home. I wonder where that is.
"Stiles where have you been staying?" I asked.
"I am going to stay at Dereks." He smirked as he was about to walk out.
"Use protection!!!" I yelled as he walked out the door.
"Will do!" I could hear him smiling and laughing as he walked to the jeep.
