The day started out the same as always, two cars came into view behind me, I tuned the key and pressed on my gas.
The cars caught up to me quickly but they did nothing more than follow me. I kept driving as I had been told until my gas ran out. As I drifted to a stop the cars sped past me and out of view.

I sat there for a few moments confused and wondering what to do. I was just about to get out of the car and start walking back to the house when the cars came into view one behind me, the other in front of me, both a good distance away.

The cars sped up barreling straight at me, closing the distance between us quickly. I turned my key panicking and pressed on the gas hoping there was a tiny amount left. It didn't budge.

Both cars were getting close, neither of them slowing down. I closed my eyes and tensed up expecting a large impact any second. Instead the cars screeched and slid to a stop, one on each side of me.

I let out a deep breath of relief and relaxed against the seat just as the driver of each of the cars stepped out, my stomach flipped knowing exactly who they were and I thought I was going to be sick.

Mark and Ivy. The couple that had moved in right next door to me in our new neighborhood. Needless to say I was pissed. I got up out of my car and pushed Ivy to the ground.

"What is wrong you?! I thought you were my friend!" I yelled.

"You thought wrong." She replied pushing her self up and dusting her clothes off.

I heard a gun go off behind me and spun around.

"Your not allowed to use a real gun." I said angrily.

"Actually, I am. You wouldn't be here without our help. Gabriel owes us and this is how he is repaying us. The rules no longer apply, so kiss your safety net goodbye." Mark replied smugly.

My heart raced. I began to panic thinking of all they could do now that everything I had been told was no longer true.... If rules don't apply the them, then they sure as hell weren't going to apply to me I decided.

Mark and Ivy began walking towards me closing in on me. I bolted and ran around Ivy towards the car she had climbed out of just moments ago.

I flung the door open, and I went to jump inside I felt someone grab onto my hair, they pulled me back and threw me into the ground.

"Nice try." Ivy snickered as they both towered over me. Marks shoe connected with my ribs and I curled into a ball gasping for air. I felt Marks arms lift me off the ground.

"Ready when you are" Ivy yelled to him.

He immediately lifted me in the air and slid me on to the hood of the car. I felt a something thrown across me and went to turn away and jump of the car.

I felt a thick rope tighten around my stomach pulling me back into place and making it hard to breath.

I struggled to get loose pulling at the rope as hard as I could. Mark climbed on the roof of the car and pulled my hands above my head wrapping them tightly together then dropping the sides down to Ivy who pulled the through the windows and tied it together.

"Why are you doing this?" I cried. "What did I ever do to you?"

"Funny you should ask." Ivy replied stepping in front of the car so I could see her. "Because of you my dad will spend the rest of his life in prison."

"Wait who is your dad?" I asked, I thought Jason was the only one with a kid.

"Derek, You remember him right?" She laughed.

"Your dad deserves to be in prison! That should have made you turn evil" I replied angrily.

"You're right it shouldn't have. When I was old enough Derek brought me with him to one of his kidnappings and I have been fascinated ever since. Now he's gone and I'm the only one to carry on his legacy."

"That's not a legacy that should be carried on" I said pleading with her.

"Maybe not, but that doesn't mean it won't be.. Enjoy the ride." She said walking around to the drivers side and climbing in.

I closed my eyes tightly and turned my head to the side as she floored the gas pedal and we sped off.
