I woke to a glass of water and a note from Luke saying he had gone back to work. I stood from the bed and looked out the window. Officers were still stationed outside.
I decided to take a nice long bath, thinking about how much had happened in so little time. Wasn't I just with my therapist 6 hours ago? It was only 3pm, I just needed this day to be over and everything to go back to normal.

I got out of the bath and decided to make some dinner and bring it down to the detectives. I knew Luke wouldn't stop until Karlie was found and Gabriel was behind bars.

As I went to get the mail I took the officers a sandwich and some water. I let them know my plans to take dinner to the precinct.

I went through the mail pausing when I reached a blank envelope. I turned it over wearily, slid a knife under the edge and took the letter out.

Hello My Kenzie,
By now I'm sure you have heard
About our daughter. I'm sorry to worry
you, I can't wait for us to all be together.
Do not try to go to the police. I will kill
anyone who gets in the way. By the way,
are you beginning to feel lightheaded or sleepy? By now you have inhaled enough
that even if you tried they would not make it here in time. See you soon my love.
    -Gabriel

I stood up trying to make my way to the door and immediately fell to the ground. My front door swung open and a man stepped inside.  My heart dropped as I realized who it was just as I began to fall into unconsciousness. He looked different somehow but those eyes would haunt me forever and I immediately knew exactly who it was... Blake.
