It was the last day of school, only one hour left until the bell would ring and the students of Brighton High School of Florida would run through the halls and out the front doors of the giant red brick school and then Summer would officially begin. Ruby couldn't help but keep looking over at Steven, the boy she had been crushing on all year, her moment to ask Steven out before they would part ways for Summer, would be in exactly one hour, 59 minutes, 58 minutes, 57. The only time she would peel her eyes away from Steven was when she would look at the clock and see how much more time was left of the last hour of the last science class of her tenth grade school year. After the teacher drowned on and on about what a pleasure everybody was to have in her class, she finally let the students out of class.
I walked out of the science room and headed for my locker and then go talk to Steven, then out of nowhere, my best friend Olivia ran up behind me and tackled me in the middle of the hall. I looked up to see my bestie's all lit up and her screaming,
"It's Summer Time Ruby, And You Know What That Means!!!!!!!!!!!"
"You'll be trying to give me heart attack ball Summer?" I semi-shouted.
Olivia helped lift me to my feet and then I awaited the real answer to what she was so excited about....
"No it means that I get to go to Warp tour this Summer!!!!!, and you get to come with me!!!!!"
(For those of you who don't know what Warp tour is....it is a festival where you get to go and see all your favorite punk bands)
"That sounds great Olivia.....only......." I said sadly.
"I can't go....."
"WHAT!!!!!....but Warp tour has always been our dream ever since we started listening to Gerard Way!!!!"
"I know, I want to go...I really do it's just that....I can't because my grandparents had signed me up for this Summer Camp that will supposedly help me make friends.....and there's no way I can get out of it.....plus they already paid the admission fee."
"That really sucks" Olivia replied.
".....well.....Warp tour won't be as fun without you.......ole Gerard wouldn't want it this Way....."
(Blink twice if you got that joke)
"Don't be so sad......Kellin Quinn will be there..." I said softly with my hands on her shoulders.
"Your right......I'll suck it up for Kellin......and Andy Beirsack.......and Social Repose.......and Brenden Urie.....I'm So Excited!!!!!!!" Olivia said.
"I want you to have fun...while I'm in Summer camp.....and watch them try to burn me at the stake because they think I'm a witch."
