Chapter 2---Day 1
On the way out of school, Lizzie ran into her best friend, Jason Devile. He had black hair and bright blue eyes; and while he was a senior like her, he would always remain older. “Lizzie, I was wondering, if you wanted to get pizza with me tomorrow,” Jake said as he leaned against her locker; so she couldn’t open it.
“Jake, you know I don’t do pizza; plus, we promised never to date each other. Remember?” she replied as she tried to reach around him. “Jake move. Please.”
“Okay Lizzie,” he chuckled as he moved out of the way. “Please try to come. I want you to meet some people.”
“Alright Jake. I’ll try. What time?” she inquired as she pulled out her backpack.
“Five. Man Lizzie, I know you won’t let me down,” he cheered as he pulled her into a hug. “See you tomorrow.” He ran out of the school and she smiled before heading to Martial Arts.
