Yuuyoi Oneshots

.: Nightmare :.

Yuu had woken up to the sound of knocking.

He had tiredly groaned to himself and turned over to lay on his side, hoping whoever was knocking on his door at this ungodly hour would just give up and leave. A few seconds of silence had passed until he could hear another knock, and he decided whoever was on the other side of the door was not going to leave. Letting out a sigh of defeat, he turned over to where he was laying on his back and sat up, getting off the bed. His emerald green eyes had yet to get adjusted to the lighting of the dark room but could barely make out the door thankfully not too far from him, beginning to approach it. With his hand on the handle of the door, he turned it and opened the door blinking at the sight he was seeing. "Yoichi?"

There, Yoichi was with his hand raised to knock once more and face lowered but you could hear the sniffling along with hiccups coming from him, giving away he was either crying or just was. Although when hearing his name, he lifted his head up and it became obvious to the raven-haired teen that the brunette was indeed crying. "S-Sorry that I-I woke you up, Yuu.." He stammered out an apology for his late night visit to the said male's room. Instead of giving an answer that could be seen as mean or harsh, Yuu took another and better route to answer his friend.

"It's fine. What happened, why are you crying?"

"I-I.." The crying teen tried to get out an answer but it was taking a bit as he hiccups and sniffles made it hard to understand him. "I.. I had a n-nightmare."

The answer seemed understandable to Yuu, as he had experienced nightmares of the same and cruel scene over and over again of his first family dying by the hands of that damn blood-sucker. His hands clenched at his sides in anger at the memory of what Ferid Bathory had done but quickly got over it when remembering his friend was standing right in front of him, crying. While Yuu wasn't the best at comforting he could try - key word being try. But before he could attempt in saying anything comforting to the poor boy, Yoichi had spoken up. "Y-Yuu?"

"Yeah?" Whatever the brunette was trying to say, he seemed really reluctant to do so but Yuu figured and waited to hear whatever words Yoichi wanted to say. "At least he stopped crying.." Yuu thought to himself.

It took a couple of seconds but he managed to get his request out. "C-Can I um.. sleep with you..?" The meek one looked down at the ground nervously, raising a hand to his eyes to quickly rub them dry of tears before lowering it back to his side. This request though, completely caught the usually confident one off guard.

"H-Huh?!" Yuu could practically feel his cheeks burning up with a blush that he hoped Yoichi couldn't see in this darkness.

"You don't have to let me..!" The latter quickly added in to his request, letting Yuu decline it if he felt too uncomfortable with it or plainly didn't want to. The two teenagers stood there in silence for a few moments - Yoichi having his faded green eyes looking at the ground while Yuu's emerald green ones looked off to the side.

"F-Fine.." The raven-haired teen grumbled in defeat, the blush still on his cheeks embarrassingly enough. The brunette had lifted his head, his big faded green eyes practically sparkling.

"R-Really?"

"Yeah.. Now come in before I change my mind..!" Yuu's response caused Yoichi to chuckle and follow him into his room. His room was a bit more messier than the latter's but wasn't overly messy, and looking around he could spot Yuu's cursed gear Asuramaru leaning against the wall near the bed's edge. "Are you going to come or sleep on the floor Yoichi?" The mentioned male slightly jumped when hearing Yuu speak up but nodded, going over to the bed where the taller male was already laying on - his back somewhat pressing against the wall to give the smaller one room to lay down on. Yoichi had gotten on, laying next to to Yuu and had his face facing the other's.

"Sorry."

"Don't apologize, idiot. Just go to sleep."

The response caused Yoichi to let out a soft laugh but he soon obliged. Him crying made him become drowsy easily and he soon closed his eyes, somewhat scooting over a bit closer to Yuu and wrapping his arms around the latter, burrowing his face in his chest. This gesture caused the raven-haired teen's face to burn up with a bright blush that thankfully, Yoichi could not see. "Goodnight, Yuu.." He could hear the brunette mumble to him, and after a few seconds assumed the latter fell asleep. He wrapped his arms around the smaller male, then closing his eyes as well.

"Night Yoichi."
