Yuuyoi Oneshots

"Sometimes, I get in my own way

I need someone to say, "Hey,What are you thinking?"

Yuu couldn't help but be taken back by what he had witnessed as he certainly wasn't expecting the brunette he met minutes earlier to come to his aid by tackling the female vampire he was fighting before it could drink the blood of some girl. "Yo.. Yoichi?!" Seriously. What was he thinking? Still, his voice caught attention of said male.

"H-Hyakuya! Hurry up and-!" Yoichi's words were interrupted by the vampire pushing him back and raising her hand to slice the male, having every intention to kill him.

"You little bastard!" Before the blood-sucker could do anything, her arm being sliced clean off by the raven-haired male.

"You're not that bad after all, Yoichi!" Yuu complimented, rushing towards the blood-sucker with katana in hand.

Trembling, the brunette backed away from both vampire and Yuu. "Well.. We're friends after all... Aren't we?"

"Your words, they're always just in time

Just like a perfect rhyme,Like, you're not even trying!"

"Yuu.. Kimizuki.." Yoichi said nervously, desperate to stop the two taller males from fighting each other as they were already practically in each other's faces. "Both of you calm down.." All three of them, including Shinoa, were supposed to be on the same squad - how were they even going to manage working together if all they did was argue? Leave it to the peacemaker of the group to try getting some sense into the two before they threw punches.

"This telephone phone started it!" Yuu accused, glaring at Shiho.

"What did you call me Hyakuya?!" Shiho practically growled at Yuu.

"You heard me, telephone pole!"

"Both of you, quit it..!" Yoichi huffed, realizing he had raised his voice slightly which was unlike him. "Please." He quickly added onto his previous said sentence. There was a bit of silence between the three, well it wasn't like some words were spoken - Yuu and Shiho were practically speaking words through their glares. "Kimizuki, Yuu, we're all going to be on a squad. We can't afford to argue like this on the front lines so please, stop. I don't want to lose either of you.."

"... Fine." They both huffed out, crossing their arms but despite the agreement on to quit arguing that didn't stop the glaring. The brunette just let out a sigh of defeat.

"Like pieces of a puzzle, without each other

We're in trouble, trouble"

"Yoichi!" A voice had called out to catch the archer's attention. "Behind you!" With a warning being told to him, said male whipped around and was almost ready to either meet his doom or to shoot a vampire. Instead his eyes caught the sight of a familiar raven-haired teen slicing down the blood-sucker that was just inches from impaling him with its rapier. The vampire had soon turned into ashes and at the moment it was safe. "Watch your back." Yuu told Yoichi, his voice being serious but he wore a lighthearted grin on his features. The latter couldn't help but smile too.

His kind expression fell though and turned serious for a quick moment, raising his cursed gear up - puling back a green light that took form of an arrow before letting go, it striking a vampire a few yards away from the two and its ashes flew along in the wind. Yuu had blinked a few times, witnessing this before turning his attention back on Yoichi who now was smiling once more. "You watch yours too." He simply said, chuckling softly.

"Hey! I will always stay by your side forever,

'Cause we're better together Hey! There's no other way, we'll make it through whatever'Cause we're better together"

"Yuu.." A soft and tired voice spoke up catching the attention of the raven-haired teen who had been awake for the past couple of minutes after the brunette fallen asleep - he wasn't expecting the latter to suddenly wake up as he had just been holding onto him, softly lacing his fingers in the soft brown hair. Looking down at Yoichi, Yuu noticed the faded green eyes looking up into his own eyes. He couldn't help but quietly chuckle at how cute he looked.

"Yeah?" He replied.

"Can you promise me something?" The brunette asked.

"Promise you what?"

"That we'll be together.."

"Yeah, of course we will, Yoichi. I'll always stay by your side." His answer seemed to satisfied the mentioned male as he smiled softly before burrowing his face against the raven-haired teen's chest. Yuu chuckled quietly, and placed a small kiss on Yoichi's head. There was no way he was planning on ever leaving him.
