Remember that cafe,
just right around the block?
They always had the best vanilla cake

"Hey, Yoichi?" Yuu asked to gain his boyfriend's attention. All he got was a small hum of acknowledgement as the olive green eyes of the brunette was focused on the sketch book in front of him as he drew away. "I'm going to talk a walk, want to join me?"

Yoichi lifted his head, bangs slightly falling in front of his eyes when he tilted to his head in slight puzzlement. "You're going to talk a walk out in the cold?" He inquired.

"Well, a walk to the cafe." Yuu answered, raising a hand to brush the chocolate brown bangs that belonged to the small male next to him. He stood up from his seat on the couch and walked over to his room to retrieve a jacket to slip on and his sneakers. From his room, Yoichi could hear his voice. "Well?"

Looking down to his sketch book, the brunette set it down on the coffee table before retrieving the red scarf he took off earlier. When noticing the raven-haired male step out of his room and back into the living room, the both of them couldn't help to exchange smiles. Yoichi walked over to Yuu before taking a hold of the latter's hand, intertwining their fingers together. Receiving a gentle squeeze, the two males walked into the hallway until exiting their home.

On lazy afternoons,
we'd watched the sunlight peeking through those lush ivy vines
sitting by the window, roses in full bloom

Hearing the small chime of the bell when the door opened, the employees greeted the pair of males who relished in the warmth with a smile which the two returned before taking a seat on a nearby table next to a window. Yuu leaned back in his chair, slouching a bit as a sigh of relief came from him. "Thank God we're out of the cold, I thought I was going to freeze to death before we got here!" He exaggerated which Yoichi couldn't help but let out a chuckle to.

"Maybe if you wore a heavier jacket you wouldn't be so cold, Yuu." He teased lightly out with a small smile, but he too was glad that they were out of the winter cold air and now in the warmth of the cozy cafe. Yuu pouted in response before taking a moment to admire how the curls in his boyfriend's brown hair just perfectly cupped his face. The brunette took notice of his raven-haired boyfriend's staring and averted his gaze from the window onto him, emerald green eyes meeting olive green. "What's with the staring?"

"Nothing, nothing.~" The emerald-green eyed boy replied, brushing off the question and smiled when he noticed the light blush that was now coating Yoichi's cheeks.

Mocchiato and a slice of vanilla cake,
it's easy to forget the rest of the world

"Remember we went here for our first date?" Yuu brought up, smiling at the memory of the first date he shared with the brunette in front of him - it was also the same day where he had his first kiss with Yoichi too.

"You mean how we came here after we finally got Shinoa and the others off our trail?" Originally their first date was supposed to be at an amusement park as it was Yuu's suggestion until they caught notice of Shinoa and the squad's little stake out on their date. The two males went around the town until they finally lost them and it was then Yoichi who decided to spend their date at the cafe.
"I can't believe Shinoa got the others to join her though." He added, chuckling.

The raven-haired male shrugged before taking a sip of his drink. "That's Shinoa for you."

Slow music fills the air,
an old record's spinning round and round
in dim light, drowsier n' drowsier we get

Yoichi hummed along to the soft jazz music the cafe played, quite enjoying the melody of the song that was currently playing. He always felt so relaxed here, from the refreshments and sweets, the cozy atmosphere, and the soft music that always played. Opening his eyes, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion for a moment when noticing the seat in front of him was empty. He looked around until spotting Yuu next to him with his hand out. "Care for a dance?" He asked with a dorky smile.

A small laugh came from Yoichi before gently pushing Yuu's hand away from him. "Yuu, this is a cafe not a dance floor."

"C'mon Yoichi, it's really only us here right now." Yuu insisted. "Besides, my legs are getting numb from sitting down for so long. I'll probably fall asleep if I sit down any longer without doing something." Yet, his boyfriend remained sitting down in his seat rather than standing up and joining him in some sort of dance. A small huff came from him before getting an idea.

"Yuu!" Yoichi yelled in protest when Yuu had taken hold of his hand and pulled him from the cushioned wooden chair he was sitting on.

Look how the time flies but,
it's not like we need to care
Relax,
there's nothing worth worrying about

Yuu blinked twice when feeling a vibration from his hoodie's pocket and moved his hand to pull out his phone, with it in his hand he looked down at it to see who texted him. It was a simple text from Mistuba somewhat angrily reminding him to not be late to their friends' study group session at the library but he had Yoichi and no doubt the brunette would wake him up before the agreed time so they could get there on time. Yet something else took notice of the raven-haired male's attention. "It's nearly 7 PM?!"

Yoichi looked over to Yuu and nodded. "Apparently it is." He sheepishly smiled. "I didn't know we'd stay here for a hours." He added on, chuckling a bit.

"Geez, time flies by."

"Yeah it does."

You sipped the last drop
Although your cake is not yet finished,
you always saved the last bite for me

Deciding they should finally leave the cafe both Yuu and Yoichi finished their drinks before exchanging looks to each other when noticing the vanilla cake Yoichi had gotten was still there, mostly eaten but there was some still remaining. Expecting for him to ask for a box to take what was left home, Yuu watched him pick up the plate where it was set on. Yet with fork in hand, the smaller male picked it up with the utensil and held it up to the taller male's mouth. "You can have the last bite." Yoichi said with a smile.

Yuu looked down at the piece being offered to him and leaned forward slightly taking a bite out of what was left, finishing it. His emerald green eyes watched the other turn around but before he could leave to the counter to return the plate, he grabbed his wrist and pulled him into a short kiss. Yoichi could taste the vanilla that lingered on Yuu's lips during the kiss before pulling away, smiling. Returning the plate, and back to Yuu's side, the two males held hands as the exited the cafe to return to their home.
