......No, I would never do that. I would not submit.
C'mon the fight is on!

"Is there nothing we could do?"
Josh nodded his head slowly, affirming my fear.

We both were seated now on my bed. Josh was behaving so unlike himself that I mistook him for someone else (no not really).
He has always been my support system, whenever we got in trouble, he'd find out a way and now his expression conveyed only one emotion: finality of defeat.

He knows nothing could be done now.

No, if needed I'll be the strong one now.

No way I'm surrendering.

"If there was, I would have been the happiest, you know that right?", he said with a wry smile.

It pained me to see him like this.

I took his hand in mine and gave it a little squeeze.
"We'll figure something out, believe me, please have some faith in me".

He left a light laugh and his eyes sprinkled.

"You're talking as if we're a couple and your dad has arranged you to some other guy and now we'll plan to run away".

He started shaking and laughing silently, gradually he laughed so loud and crazy, he seemed to be getting hysterical.

I didn't know what to say.

What he said was the truth, I didn't have any ties with anyone, on the basis of which I could fight for my stand.

No, my parents were more than happy to get me off their backs.
My brother who I loved more than any one on this earth, called me yesterday to make me come here which was to have me leave and he didn't even talk to me for once after coming here.

My best friend sent me here at the first place knowing what was in store for me and came here only to tell me that he had accepted my future.

Now multiple waves of denial, refusal and rejection hit me as I realized I had no one at my side, no one wanted me to stay.
I stood up and agnized Josh has grown silent now and was blankly staring up at the ceiling.

"Wait, listen it didn't come out well. I didn't mean that", he also stood up.

"But the actual thing is, Jo, this is the truth. My fate is already sealed and I can do nothing to change that, thanks for making me grasp the fact, if not for you, I'd have like a jerk, kept fighting for my place, but now I gather I don't have any place. So it's better to go somewhere, where people want me and leave the place where everyone is relieved to let me go." I said, crossing the room.

A tear slipped from my eyes but I willed them to stop because I knew no one cared.

They have to face the cold me now, enough with tears and tantrums about which no one gave a damn.

I opened the door and made my way to the living room.

Asshole and my so-called family were busy talking (mom and dad), and fiddling with their respective phones (Sean and Arush), but as soon as they saw me, everyone hushed immediately.

They were eyeing me cautiously as if they were anticipating my next move.

It amused me to see their reactions when I said, "Lets go, shall we husband?" and gave a slow spreading creepy smile (Yeah creepy is the word).

Well, as for the reactions, ma gaped at me, dad went cold and still, Sean stood up and Arush raised his eyebrows incredulously and sighed.

He then said, "What made you change your mind?"
