Meeting Hades

A/N: Part 2 to Meeting Apollo. This is just how I envision Hades, you don't have to see him this way but I do. I recommend going back and rereading Meeting Apollo before reading this.

Gods. Will is going to meet my dad. I swear, Hades better not embarrass me.

"Ready, Will?" I ask him, trying to sound confident but ultimately fail.

"Um, sure. Your dad isn't... Scary, right?" I laughed right in his face. The whole 'I AM THE GOD OF THE UNDERWORLD FEAR ME' aura about my dad was merely a facade.

"I'll take that as a no?" Will examines my scrunched up face, wondering if I'm laughing at him or something else. I'm laughing at how un-scary my dad is.

"Don't worry, Will. Hopefully my dad will be better than yours." I grabbed his hand and shadow travelled to the underworld.

-MAJESTICALLY SHMEXY LINE BREAK THAT YOU DIDN'T EVEN READ PROBABLY-

We approached Hades at his throne. He had an amused look on his face, and he was talking to Persephone.

"- wasn't that funny? I thought that was hilarious." Hades noticed us out of the corner of his eye, and he turned towards us.

"Listen to this one, Nico. What does a nosy pepper do?"

"I don't know, dad. What?"

"Gets jalapeño business!" He bursts out laughing, and so does Will. I roll my eyes, shooting Persephone a look, while she sends me a 'help me' look.

"Lord Hades, Lord Hades! Have you heard this one?" Will asks him, trying to catch his breath. "What do you call a fake noodle?"

"What?" Hades is also trying to regain his breath.

"An impasta!" And they both crack up again. I elbow Will and he immediately shuts up.

"What? Your dad is really cool!"

"Oh my gods, Will. No he's not. He's really embarrassing, that's what he is."

"Whatever, Neeks."

Will and Hades exchange jokes for a good 10 minutes, while Persephone and I keep rolling our eyes. At this point, my eyes might roll out of my head.

"Oh hey, Nico?" Will finally says to me. I look at him, so he knows I'm listening.

"We gotta get going now."

"Finally. Thank the gods." I'm beyond relieved.

"Hey wait, before you go, Apollo asked me to give this to you." Hades says and holds up a small wrapped box, the same one Apollo tried to give to us earlier.

"OH MY GODS! DAD!" Will screams and looks up, completely red in the face. I actually laugh a little, no matter how embarrassing it is. Apollo is pretty stubborn, kind of like Will.

"This is NOT funny!" Will says, pointing a finger in my face.

"Actually, it kind of is." And I just stand there and laugh, Will eventually joining in.

Lols. That was super short. Sorry. But it was also funny. I hope.
