Recap…

I shrugged the blazer off my shoulders and took it in my hands. When I flipped it over, I saw that there was a huge splodge of brown paint which looked surprisingly like, well, you’ve guessed it.

There was only one person who I know had touched my back today, and that was the boy who asked to borrow my eraser. He must have accidentally got paint on my jacket and hadn’t told me in case I was angry. Or even worse, he could have purposely dropped the paint on my jacket to humiliate me.

I was so angry at the boy getting paint on me, that I had completely forgotten that Rachel was standing right in front of me. I stormed out of the door, making sure to knock her with my shoulder.

I clutched my blazer furiously as I made my way into the yard to look for him. He was SO dead meat…

… … … … … …

As soon as I reached the middle of the yard, I stopped and glanced around till I found him with a group of lads in the far left corner. I started to make my way over to him and when I was about halfway there, he stopped talking to his friends and noticed me approaching.

Before he noticed me, he had been laughing. His face was priceless when he saw me coming- his face totally dropped, as though he was just waiting till he was found and had to face my wrath.

I sped up my pace, so I was walking much faster than I was before, my eyes totally fixed on his. I was sure that I looked like a mad woman, with my nostrils flaring and my blazer swinging back and forth as my walking speed increased.

With every step that I took forward, he seemed to take a tiny step back. Oh no he wouldn’t…He wouldn’t run from me, would he?

Turns out that I was wrong. When I was about 10 steps away from him, he turned around and quickly started to sprint away into the nearby woods. Probably thinking that I was one of those girly girls who wouldn’t run after him because it would make me all hot and sticky- he thought that he had his perfect escape; Turns out that HE was wrong this time.

I followed suit and started running after him. He was extremely mistaken if he thought that I would let him get away with what he did.

When I got into the woods, I stopped and looked around to get my bearings. There was a heavy breathing sound coming from my right, behind one of the trees. I took in a deep breath so that I wouldn’t make any loud noises, and tiptoed to where the breathing came from. I peeked around the trunk of the tree, and there he was, leaning against the bark panting heavily.

I decided that the best way for me to get revenge would be through the element of surprise. I started climbing the tree and scraped my knees many times in the process.

As soon as I reached a suitably high enough branch, I tried to balance on the limb.

That was when I lost my footing and came tumbling down.

When I was sure that I would hit the ground and break at least 2, if not more bones in my body, I was surprised that instead of meeting the rough floor, I was engulfed in someone’s strong arms.

I turned my head and saw that he was looking at me, completely startled. I was beginning to feel a bit too comfortable; sitting there in his lap with his arms wrapped around me, so I jumped up out of his grasp and started the task of making him pay for what he did to my blazer.

I threw the jacket that was in my hands at his face with perfect aim. It slid off his face and onto his lap, but he didn’t seem fazed by it.

“Why didn’t you tell me that you got paint on my back?” I spat with as much venom as I could.
