Chapter 3

Harry helped me the next morning with my packing so I could move to his flat.

"Since you said James pays rent and all, he can deal with the landlord." Harry assured my constant worrying.

"What if something doesn't work out?" I asked while I carried a box of my clothes to Harry's car.

"Then I'm here." He said. He flashed his famous smile that millions of his fans swooned over.

When we reached his car, Harry put his box down to open the trunk for me. He was such a gentleman. No, Jessica. You can't like him. He's your best friend. Who wants to put that at risk? After we put the boxes in the car, I followed Harry as he opened the passenger door for me. Yup. He was a true gentleman.

"Did you even tell Louis?" The thought of Louis didn't even cross my mind.

"Uh," Harry paused for a second. "Now that I think about it, I totally forgot."

"I don't want to walk in and be like 'SURPRISE! IM MOVING IN!' Harry." I was serious. Louis hadn't seen me in ages, it was a bit odd for me to just move in.

Harry laughed. "You know how Louis is. Trust me, he won't mind."

The rest of the car drive was silent. But it wasn't a type of silence that's awkward, I was comfortable around Harry. It was more of a surreal feeling. I began to wonder if he felt that too.

Harry opened his front door and stepped aside to let me in first. Their flat, surprisingly, was really clean. A head popped up from the couch.

"Jessica! Long time no see!" Louis shouted cheerfully. He sprung up from the couch to give me a hearty hug. "Why the boxes?" I opened my mouth only to be cut off by Harry's voice.

"She's moving in, Lou. It's a long story about James." Harry spoke lowly in a tone deeper than his usual voice. Louis' big smile turned into a frown.

"Oh. I'm sorry about that, Jess." Louis said sympathetically. His smile formed back onto his face. "You're welcome here anytime! The more the merrier!" I received a hug from Louis again before he took a box from my hands and led us to the kitchen to place the boxes on the counter.

"Thanks for letting me stay here, guys. It means alot." I managed to smile.

"No problem." They both replied in unison.

After a lunch of peanut butter sandwiches and lemonade, I followed Harry to his bedroom. Even though I had been friends with Harry for so long, I never really got the chance to visit his flat. His bedroom was even cleaner than the living room. "Neat freak." I teased as he tackled me onto his bed. We play-fought until Harry got a call on his cellphone.

"Um. Hello?" Harry answered as he got up from the bed. I heard a girl's voice on the other end. He put up his index finger to show me that he'd only take a minute as he walked out his bedroom.

"What do you mean?" He said. I heard his footsteps grow quieter and quieter as his voice did, too.

While Harry was on the phone, I played with my fingers. After what seemed like five minutes I grew bored and realized I never really paid attention to what his room looked like. His bed was situated in a corner against his blue walls, facing his closet. A wooden desk with neatly organized papers sitting on it was in the opposite corner of his room, along with a bookshelf with almost no books on it.

Above the desk sat a wooden billboard with pictures pinned to them. I got up to get a better look. One picture in the upper left corner was of Harry and I as kids. Next to it was a picture of us when I was 14 and he was 16. As I began to look at more of the pictures, I realized alot of them were of Harry and a blonde girl with hazel eyes. She was gorgeous. Some of the pictures showed them of Harry kissing her on the cheek. I shouldn't of been jealous, but I was. Maybe she was an ex-girlfriend and he forgot to take down the photos.
