Chapter 3

Today was Saturday which meant no school. "Kittycat?" Darry called as I off in my own world. "yeah?" I said snapping back into the real world. "Would you please put your dish in the sink." Darry said pointing to the sink. "Yeah." I said placing the bowl in the sink. "So what are we going to do today?" Ponyboy said walking into the living room drying his hair. "I think the rest of the gang going to swing by later , then we're all going to the Drive in." Sodapop said stuffing the last piece of cake into his mouth. "Darry too?" Pony said throwing the towel in the bathroom "Darry too." Darry said as he started to wrestle Ponyboy. "I'm going to change my clothes real quick then." I said rushing off to my room. After 5-10 minutes of looking in my closet I couldn't find anything to wear I let out a scream. "WHATS WRONG WHERES THE FIRE?" Sodapop said rushing into my room. " I have nothing to wear." I said flopping down on a mountain of clothes. "I'm guessing you want to look good for Dally eh?" He said flopping next to me. "Yes." I said talking into the pile of clothes. "How about a cute dress?" Sodapop said holding up a bright pink and blue dress. "No! I wanna look hot." I said throwing the dress across the room.

"Okay you sit on the bed I'll find something." Sodapop said throwing clothes left and right. *10 minutes later* "I found it!" Sodapop said picking up the last piece of clothes for my look. "Try it on then come out into the living room." He said shutting the door so I could change. "This is beautiful." I said talking to myself as I looked in the mirror. The outfit Sodapop put together had a white crop top , a black leather jacket , my black converse and black high wasted shorts. "ARE YOU GOING TO COME AND SHOW US OR WHAT?" Sodapop called from the living room.  "COMING!" I said slowly walking into the living  room. "Whoa you look great." Pony said looking you up and down. "I'm not sure how I feel about the shorts." Darry said having a look of disapproval on his face. "Come on Dar its only for one night." I said begging him. "Only tonight then." He said shaking his head as he got up to answer the phone. "So I guess you like it then." Sodapop said standing up to get a hug from me. "I love it." I said not letting go of him. "Looks like well have to meet the guys over there." Darry said hanging up the phone. "Lets get going then." Ponyboy said grabbing a jacket for once. "I'm bring $5 everyone gets one popcorn and one drink." Darry said as he started up the truck. 

"Anyone know what movie playing?" I said as Darry pulled the truck into a spot. "I think its some biker movie." Sodapop said hopping out of the truck. "I'm going to find some girl to talk to." Sodapop said walking away. "GOOD LUCK!" I called after him. "I TOLDED YOU THEY'D BE OVER HERE." Steve said hitting Two-Bit up the side of the head. "Where Soda Caty." Steve said looking around for his best friend. "Went looking for girls." I said pointing to where Sodapop walked. " Hey Dar mind if I sit up front with you?" Two-Bit said climbing into the front seat of the truck. "Fine." Darry said as Two-Bit put his feet on the dashboard. "Can I go see if Cherry here , Darry ?" Pony said with his hand on the door. "Sure but come back before the end of the movie." Darry said as Pony flew out of the truck. You see Cherry was this red haired girl that goes to our school that Ponyboy meet at the drive in before , His in love with her but she doesn't even talk to him at school or even out of school. "Hey guys." Dally said as he walked up to the windows of the truck. "Anyone wanna come to the snack bar with me?" He  asked with a little shrimk on his face.

"I'll come." I said hoping out of the truck. The walk over to the snack bar was really quite from the movie and people talking. "OH shoot I didn't grab my money from Darry." I said looking for my money in my pockets. "Its okay Kitty I'll get it for you." Dallas said grabbing popcorn and a pack of smokes. "Thanks." I said grabbing a popcorn. "Can I have a smoke before we go back over?" Dally asked as he light one up. "Sure and could I get one of them?" I asked. "I didn't know you smoke Kitty and sure." Dally said handing me a stick. " The boys don't like me too but I'll take some from Pony and smoke them at school." I said blowing a O with the smoke. "I guess I won't tell them then." Dally said blowing some smoke out. "You'll tell them over my dead body." I said stomping the smoke out. "I like you Kitty." Dally said acting all tuff throwing his stick away. " I know thats why you put up with me." I said giving a little laugh. "No stupid , I mean I like like you." Dally said slapping my arm. "Really?" I said socked. "Yeah I'ved liked you for a little bit now I had just asked Darry if I could go with you." Dally said acting cool. "What did he say?" I said getting a little more excited. "He said sure." Dally said grabbing for my wasit. "But its if you want to go with me or not." He said pulling me closer. "I'd love to go with you." I said letting him kiss me. "IT TOOK YOU TWO LONG ENFOUGHT , DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY KIDS THOUGHT I WAS CREEPING ON YOU TOO. Sodapop said coming into the light. "Thats really creepy man." I said punching Soda's arm. "You know your sis anti a bad kisser." Dally said giving me a little smile. "Thats just gross Dally I'm going back to the car." Sodapop said shacking his hands as he walked away.
