Chapter 5

It is now Friday i know i skipped 3 days. 

"Hey." I said walking into the kitchen for breakfast. " Good morning Kitten." Sodapop said placing the toast and eggs down on the table. "What are we having for supper tonight?" Ponyboy said grabbing for the toast. "Pizza." Sodapop said sitting down in his chair. "Wait like real pizza and not frozen stuff." I said getting excited. "Yes the real stuff." Darry said sitting in his chair. "And the whole gang coming over too." Sodapop said grabbing for another egg.  "Are we going to play monopoly?" Ponyboy said placing his dish in the sink. "Why would we play monopoly?" I said hitting Pony up side the head. "That sounds like fun Ponyboy , I'll leave you in charger to set it up."Darry said placing the last bit of toast in his mouth. "Look at that Darry likes my ideas." Ponyboy said hitting me back. "Come on loser we'er going to be late." I said holding the door open for him. "See you two later." Sodapop said as we left the house. "OH shit!" Pony said as he where about half way to school. "What?" I said looking around for something. "The bell rings in 4 minutes and we're still 10 minutes away from school." Ponyboy said Looking at his watch. "Then we better get running." I said leaving Ponyboy in the dust. 

"We just made it." I said stoping in the front hallway of this school. "Not yet Miss.Curtis." Said the principal. "Get to class now." She said ushering us to class. "Yes." We said at the same time. My first class went by pretty fast , before I knew it it was time for the last class Art Class. "What are you working on." Ponyboy said sitting down next to me. "I'm making a family portrait of you , Darry , Sodapop and me." I said picking up a shading pencil. "I like it." Ponyboy said pulling it out his drawing. "Thats really good." I said as I saw Ponyboy's drawing of the sunset and some girl watching it. "Who's that?" I said pointing to the girl. "Kate." He said bushing a little. "I got the idea for when I walked her home." He said picking up the pencil to shade. For the rest of the hour me and Ponyboy just talked and finished our drawing. *BRING BRING* "RACE YOU TO THE FRONT DOOR!" I said to Ponyboy. "NO FAR!" he called after me. "I WIN!" I said as I stopped out the door first. "Thats...Not...Far." Pony said out of breath. "Is..To."I said getting my breath back. "I'll race you home." Pony said walking in front of me. "No I'll ready won." I said pushing to my side. "I'll give you my lunch money for the next two weeks." Pony said dead seriously. "Okay." I said putting my bag on two straps and booking it home.  "CAT THIS ISNT FAR!!!" He said racing after me. "SUCK IT." I called back. 

"HAHA looks like your packing your lunch for the next two weeks." I said stoping at the front gate. "How..are..you..faster...then...me." Pony said holding on to the gate to get some air in his lungs. "Maybe its because I save my energy." I said hoping around him. "Lets just go inside." He said walking up the path. "Look its a note." I said pointing to the note on the door. "Dally will be bring the pizzas around 4 and Sodapop gets off at 4;30 and I get off at 5, see you guys soon Darry xo." Pony said reading the letter in his Darry voice. "Lets clean up then." I said walking into the house. "Okay I'll grab monopoly." Ponyboy said walking to the closet of borad games. As Pony started to set up the game I put some dishes away and pulled some out to put the pizza on and grabbed the two 6 packs of coke we had in our ice box and the one case of beer for Two-Bit. "I'm going out for a smoke." I called to Pony as he put the tv on. After the big thing at the party Darry lets me have one smoke a day by leaving one smoke out of the table and hiding the rest of them. But Dally doesn't care so I'll have puffs of his thought out the day. 

As I sat on the railing puffing away at my cancer stick I saw Dally walking down the street with 4 lager boxes of pizza in his hands. "Hey Dal I said tossing the smoke onto the drive way and the stepping on it as I walked over to Dally. "Hey babe." He said giving me a kiss as I took 2 boxes off the pile. "Where is everyone?" He said as he looked around. "Darry's still at work , Sodapop coming home soon with Two-Bit and Steve and Ponyboy in the house watching Mickey." I said as i opened the door with one hand. "Pizza!" Boy called as he jumped up from his chair. "You can't eat it till Soda gets home." Dally said moving the boxes higher so Pony couldn't reach them. "Fine!" Pony said walking back over to the chair. "Lets watch some tv Dally." I said as I brought him to the living room. "Sit here." He said pulling me onto his lap again. "You know we do have some extra chairs."Pony said rolling his eyes. "Shut up." I said playfully hitting his arm. "Lovers." He said rolling his eyes before he changed the tv to the news. "W hat are you doing?!" Dally called as Pony changed it. "I wanna see whats happening in the world." Pony said throwing the rotate across the room so Dally would have to get up to get it. "You win this time kid." He said giving Pony dead eyes. "Hey everyone." Sodapop said as he walked into the house with Two-Bit and Steve following him. "Can we eat now?" Pony said walking to the kitchen. "Yes!" Two-Bit said following Pony now. After everyone had gotten pizza we started to play monopoly.  It had to be over 1 hour after Darry said he would be home but he still wasn't home. "Does anyone know where Darry is." I said looking up at the clock then down to the guys playing monopoly. "No." They all said looking around scared. "Dont worry Princess its Darry your talking about he'll be fine." Dally said rubbing my back. "Maybe he's just late." Steve said looking out the window.
