Chapter 7

Monday 

"So Pony." I said as we walked to school as the sun stilled raised. "What?" He said kicking some rocks. "Are you going to ask Kate out today?" I said rising my eyebrow . "I don't know I really like her but I don't think she likes me back." He said giving me sad eyes. "Im better sure she likes you back." I said putting my arm around him.  "I don't know I mean Cherry asked to talk to me today." He said lighting up a weed. "Can you just forget Cherry." I said holding the front door of the school open for him. "Shut up." he said giving my arm a push. "Hey I said sitting down behind Kate. "Hey Kittycat." She said turning around. "Do you like Pony ?" I said giving her a straight face. "Maybe." She said twirling her hair. "So you do." I said giving her a look. "Do you like Dally?" She said giving me the same look. "Duh." I said hiting the top of her head.  " Miss.Kittycat and Miss.Kate detention." Mrs.Roberts said pointing her finger to us then to the door. "Lets go." I said picking my stuff up and leaving. 

When me and Kate showed up to detention the only person in there was Two-Bit. "KITTENCAT" He said rising his hands as I walked in. "TWO-BIT." I said as I walked in. "Do you come often?' Kate said giving me a look as she laugh. "No." Two-Bit said as we sat on top of the desks. "I've been here like twice." I said grabbing one of Two-Bits weed sticks. "And Darry going to kick her ass when he finds out." Two-Bit said laughing and slapping his knee. "I forgot about him." I said blowing my smoke out the window. "Sure you did." Kate said rolling her eyes. " Shut up." I said flicking my ashes at her. "Wanna play cards?" Two-Bit said pulling out a pack of cards. "Sure." I said putting my smoke out. "Lets play poker!" Kate said twisting a chair around to sit on. After an hour of poker we'er down to our last game, Two-Bit had entered his watch , Kate had enter in her sunglasses and ring and I entered in my necklace and bracelet. "Y'all ready to go all or nothing." Two-Bit said holding the cards close to his face. "Lets do this." Kate and I said at the same time.  "1..2..3.." Two-Bit said as we all placed our cards down. "Full house." Kate said as she laid her cards down. " four of a kind." Two-Bit said as pushed Kates cards off the table. "Royal Flush Bitches." I said grabbing the jackpot. "Nooo." Kate said throwing her head back. "You probably cheated just like Sodapop." Two-Bit said lighting up a smoke. 

"Wanna come over?" I said to Kate as we all walked out the back doors of the school. "Sure but won't we get in trouble for leaving half way thought the day?" Kate said picking at her nails. "They don't care after a hour or 2." Two-Bit said throwing his arm around the both of us. "Wanna go down to the DX on our way home? , Cokes our on me." I said pulling 25 cents out of my pocket. "Sure." They both said. The walk to the Dx was short and full of laugher when we arrived Sodapop was working the front counter. "Hey big brother." I said walking into the DX. "Why in the name of lord our you out of school." Sodapop said as I walked to get the cokes . "Its cool Sodapop." Two-Bit said walking in. "Yeah come down don't POP!"Kate said as she gave Two-Bit a high five. "Very original." Sodapop said rolling his eyes. "You won't tell Darry will you?" I said putting 3 cokes on the counter. "What do you think Kitten." Sodapop said giving me a straight face. "You know what how about I tell Darry about the time you were supposed to babysit me and Pony but you went over to Sandy's house well her parents weren't home." I said leaning on the counter. "Take the cokes and I never saw you." Sodapop said placing the 25 cents in the cashbox and looking away. "Bye Mr.Carbonated Drink." Two-Bit said giving Kate a high five as they walked out the door. 

"What do you guys want to eat?" I said as we walked into the house. "Can you make lasagna?" Two-Bit said sitting on the couch to turn on the tv. "i guess." I said walking into the kitchen. "Why are you guys here?" Ponyboy said walking into the house and throwing his bag down. "Waiting for Kittencat to make lasagna." Two-Bit said not taking his eyes off mickey. "Hey Kate." Pony said sitting down next to her. "Hi." She said pushing hair behind her ear. "PONY CAN YOU HELP ME I CANT GET THE TOMATO STUFF DOWN." I called from the kitchen. "Cant Two-Bit do it." Pony said rolling his eyes. "No." Two-Bit said giving pony a dirty look. "Fine." he said walking to the kitchen. "Are you going to ask her?" I said to Pony as he got the tomato stuff down. "Soon." He said handing me it. "No now." I said giving a look. "Fine he said flicking my nose. "UMH Kate can I ask you something?" Pony said walking into living room. "Yeah. Kate said getting a small smile on her face. "UH will you be my girlfriend." Pony said cracking his fingers. "I'd loved too." She said wrapping her arms around Ponys neck. "PRAISH JESUSE." I said throwing my hand in the air. "Kiss him." Two-Bit whispered behind them. "Shut up." Ponyboy said to him as Kate gave him the finger. "Yeah maybe you should kiss me." Kate said giving Pony a sexy look. " Sure." Ponyboy said kissing Kate. "Isn't love great Two-Bit?" I said holding my head in my hands. "Its whatever." Two-Bit said grabbing a beer from the ice box.
