Jay left one thing for me before he died.
He gave me his journal.
He called it "Jay's Journal" and I always thought it was the funniest thing because of this book I loved called Jay's Journal. I always thought it was the weirdest thing, why he would give me his journal, the most private thing a human being can have for themselves. I didn't realize that the very next day he would kill himself. Maybe he gave me his journal, his last piece of sanity, to me, so he could be unstable and be able to die.
I don't know.
In the book, Jay's Journal, and in Jay's actual journal, Jay commits suicide. It's the last thing written.
Funny how that works.
