Chapter 4: Not feeling well, my ass

You know when you feel lifeless. Like you've been dead for a long time but you can still here everything around you? Yep. That's how I feel right now. After my mom apologized for me to Xavier about his hair, my mom told me we had to have a little chat. That's when I knew I was in trouble. You see, my mom had me when she was seventeen with my dad, and when I was born, she didn't know how to take care of me.

So when I cry, she hits me. When I do bad in school, she hits me. When she's stressed about work, she likes to kick it up a notch and hit me real hard to control her feelings. To tell you the truth, my dad doesn't even know about this at all.

My mom hits me when he's out of the house. She knows that my dad loves me with all his heart, so she doesn't tell him. So as I was saying, my mom told Austain, Sean, and Xavier to wait in the dining room with their parents. As they left I started praying.

Please God, I'm begging you, give mom mercy. I do not, and repeat, do not want to get hurt, again. And again, and again, and agai- She grabbed me by my hair and pulled me to my room. "Mom please! I'll, I'll do your work and chores for the rest of the year! Just please don't hurt me!" I begged. She threw me on my bed and scowled at me. "What were you thinking, Riley!", I slowly faced her, " I'm sorry but I have to do this, so you'll learn." She finished off, shaking her head.

"Do wha-" She hit me with the belt on the knee. I shuffled my scream. She shook her head as she kept on hitting me with the belt on my knees, with me, crying trying to stop screaming.

I touched my swollen knee. "Ow..." I whispered, trying to hold back my tears. After my mom stopped hitting me, she left me alone and told the Bernts, "She just isn't feeling well." She lied. Not feeling well, my ass. Mom, you are evil.
