"Hey, where's mom?" I ask my father when I walk downstairs. I see him, somewhat dressed up. I question it for a minute but then just shrug it off. He probably has somewhere to be.
"She took Hope to a mates. Why?" I didn't know Hope had friends. Who is Hope friends with? She doesn't go to school.
"I was just wondering" I shrug. "What are you doing today?" I ask.
"Uh, I have an important... meeting" he says, questioning his words. Meeting? I look at him as if he's crazy and shake my head.
"Alright. I'll go over and see Tyler and then go to see Uncle Elijah because I promised I'd go do something with him today" I say, putting a sweatshirt on and getting a blood bag out of the refrigerator.
"Have fun, Linnie!" my father yells. I wave him off behind me and walk over to my former house.
I open the door and see some people sitting in the living room. "Where's Tyler?" I ask.
"Your room" Derek answers. I sigh and run up the stairs and into my bedroom to see Tyler sleeping peacefully on the bed. I decide to leave him be and go back downstairs.
I go down and see Kai. I just stare at him, not knowing what to say. "Hello, little sister" Kai smiles, walking past me as I continue to stay frozen in my spot.
"What are you doing here?" I ask coldly. He shouldn't be here.
"Kai, are you ready?" I hear Malia ask. I turn on my heel seeing Malia going to grab Kai's hand.
"Malia" I say. I watch her over to me, a sympathetic expression on her face.
"I'm sorry, Madalynn" Malia says, before her and Kai both walk past me and out the door.
